The birds were chirping, the sun was shining, the grass was lush and green, everything looked beautiful that day, but Dimitri did not notice any of it. He snorted with annoyance as he recalled the fact that he had just, yet again, been begged to remove his mask, something he refused to do. It was his business what lay under his mask, and he felt that no one else needed to know. Not only that, but he preferred to hide his eyes, because he did not like having other Soq know every single emotion that passed across his face. Dimitri was the mysterious sort, and he liked it that way.

His ears perked as he heard the soothing sound of rushing water ahead, and nodded mentally; it would be the perfect spot to lounge in the shade and relax... away from the bubbling voices of all the young females whose voices gave him the biggest headache after a while. As he approached the edge of the trees, Dimitri peered curiously through the brush, making sure that he was alone. Unfortunately, he was not. There was another Soq, on the same side of the bank as he, but only a little further down. He sighed and turned around, about to trot away quietly when he stepped on a branch that made a rather large SNAP! With a groan, Dimitri realized he wouldn't be able to walk away quietly any more, and instead walking out from between the trees, and to the water's edge, hoping the other Soq wasn't quite as cranky as he.

Dimitri stood on the water's edge and shook his head slowly, almost disappointingly. This new male was obviously rather jumpy and felt threatened; if he was as strong as he claimed, why was he so spooked by another Soq simply walking down the river? He sighed and replied with relative annoyance, "I never sneak, I always walk with dignity. And you are the one making the threats here, not me. I should be more worried about you attacking me at this point than the other way around. On top of that, you are out rather early yourself! If you are awake why can't the rest of world be awake as well? Do you think you are the only one who rises with the sun?"

Dimitri rolled his eyes, though the other obviously couldn't see him do it. He enjoyed the fact that the other Soq probably wouldn't be able to tell if he were truly upset or not. Dimitri had spoken with slight indignation in his voice, even though he wasn't actually all that bothered by the other Soq's actions or words. Very little ever really upset him, and this definitely wasn't one of the moments.
