Mist hung delicatly in the air as the first rays of sunlight began to shine. Kenton moved silently through the trees, his hooves making almost no sound as he went. his heart jumped in his chest as he caught the first scent of the river. he could tell that today was going to be a great day. the mist began to lift as the sun rose higher in the sky. sneaking around the forest reminded Kenton of his younger days when he would spy on his sister. he felt a stab in his heart as he thought of his old home. he missed the Cerynei lands greatly, but now was not the time to think of that. Kenton shook his head to clear out the unwanted thoughts. he was on a mission, and he was determined to make it an adventure.
Kenton slowed his pace as he heard the rivers gentle ebb. he had not yet been to a river in the soquili lands. he came to a clearing were before him stood the bank of a large river. he smiled at the sight. the water was slower here, this would be the perfect spot for him to learn how to swim.
