Kurai liked having Hissy Cow with her. It made her more...mobile, more able to keep up with Oyumi. Kurai did appreciate the trainer's willingness to slow down a bit for her...but Kurai liked not being a burden. Sadly...well, Hissy Cow barely tolerated the others. It...wasn't pleasant.
She sat on the Miltank's back, watching the sunrise. She and Hissy Cow tended to wake early...the latter not wanting to let the former without 'protection' for long. Hissy Cow was very protective of the Pokemon Healer. And now, even munching on the grass around her, she was aware of her surroundings. Nothing was gonna sneak up on her!

It was no secret that Oyumi traveled fast. Even without a pokemon to ride, the girl was fast. Years of training as a ninja had helped her get in exceptional shape. Something that showed in her Pokemon quite well. But as it was, in shape or not, Oyumi had a distinct love of sleeping in. That's why it was more often than not Fuutarou, her Mewtwo, who was up first. And it was no different today.
After a good night's rest, he walked over to Kurai, glancing at her casually before nodding to Hissy Cow.
Good morning.

Kurai would have started a bit a long while ago...but now she was used to it. "Good morning Fuutarou!" She was quiet, but cheerful. "And how are you this morning?" Unlike her trainer, Hissy Cow had started. She stared at the Mewtwo with large blue eyes. She wasn't sure she'd EVER get used to having something TALK IN HER HEAD.

I take it you're up for the day. How are you two? Fuutarou asked softly, mentally chuckling at the way Hissy Cow had started. He'd never get tired of seeing the Miltank jump.

"That we are. Hissy Cow is never far behind me in waking, and I like watching the sunrise before I start cooking." The Miltank calmed herself and gave Fuutarou an annoyed look, then went back to chewing on the grass. But she always had an eye on the other Pokemon. Kurai chuckled and pat Hissy Cow's neck. "We're well. Slept wonderfully."

I'm glad you slept well. I'm sure Oyumi will wake as soon as she smells breakfast. Fuutarou replied, chuckling and moving to sit in the grass and simply watch the sky. It had always amazed him to see the sun rise, even as a child.

Hissy Cow laughed. That was a truth. The ninja always seemed to be aware of food. Kurai just smiled widely. "There was a red sunset last night. So...we should have good weather today! That should make Oyumi happy, hm? Maybe even keep Kamu's tail from getting grouchier."

We can only hope. I've never met such an irritable Girafarig tail before. Fuutarou said, grinning to himself and glancing at Kurai. Perhaps we'll see more Pokemon as well. Weather like this often draws out the wild species.

Kurai and the Miltank both groaned. Hissy Cow tended to AVOID Kamu, simply due to a rather distinct dislike of being bitten. And Kurai...well, she just made sure she always had something to bribe the tail into not biting her. And hoped it worked. "I like seeing the wild Pokemon in new areas...Maybe I'll manage to catch one! Rather than have one decide I need looking after." She gave Hissy Cow a strange look, and if Miltanks could whistle innocently, she would have.

Now, being looked after isn't so bad. Oyumi easily saved my life when she found me Saxukai Desert. The least I can do to repay her is join her in her travels. Fuutarou teased, laughing softly and smiling at the two.

Kurai blushed. "Sure but..." She sighed. "I'd like to catch one on my own, just once." Hissy Cow stopped her meal and looked up at the girl, brow raised. Her trainer was silly. "Don't give me that look. I...I grew up wanting to be a trainer before wanting to be a healer."

Perhaps that's why you and Oyumi get along so well. She grew up wanting nothing more than to remain a spoiled rich girl. At least until she became one of Koga's pupils. Fuutarou said softly, humming to himself and glancing at what was still just barely visible of the stars.

"I'm rather glad we went the ways we did though. We'd... never have met otherwise." She hugged her Miltank's neck. "And I never would have met you Hissy Cow, or you and Kamu, Fuutarou." She laughed softly. "I'd still have been home, watching the sunrise by myself, rather than with friends."

Now don't go forgetting Kubiwa. She might just have to greet you again. Fuutarou replied, laughing softly and shaking his head. He still remembered the look on Kurai's face when the Ekans had first greeted her. Such a strange way to greet people too... Wrapping around them and just squeezing...

Kurai laughed nervously. "And Kubiwa. She's sweet, despite her oddity." She slid off Hissy Cow's back and patted it. "Well...I ought to start breakfast now. Should probably start with the Pokemon's, since that's less likely to wake Oyumi." Hissy Cow moved a bit, so Kurai could grab her walking stick from its place on the ground, under where the cow-Pokemon had been standing. "Anything different for you guys today? Or same as always?" Hissy Cow mooed happily and nudged her trainer. She was happiest with the normal feed she got on top of her grazing.
