Post 1: Welcome to the first edition of the Ultimate Omega Super Random RP or UOSdoubleRP! Thats right a role play based around pretty much no storyline but a world of which we can create the storyline and continue onward for many many adventurous posts forward to this non existing ending to this role play.
Post 2:
Rules
The rules are fairly simple. Follow them and there wont be a problem, unless you cant read...
1. Max of only two characters per person. This is so to limit the interactions your characters will have with one another and to maximize the amount of characters that other people will create. 2. Please go ahead and post your profiles without needing to PM them to me. It isnt a serious role play so there is no need for that pm profile thing. 3. Of course with any of my role plays i will request a certain amount of literacy in your posts. I dont ask much, just that i can read it and read it without just a simple glance at 6 or 7 words. 4. It is up to you to create a story, either one that includes everyone or just a small band of characters. If that adventure runs dry then wait for someone else or yourself to think no something new to do. It isnt that hard. And of course follow the main guild rules and the rules of this wonderful website.
Post 3:
Setting(s) The Town of Shaymire This moderate size town is often the starting point of many adventures. With the famous bar called Toby's and the newly built theater of artistic performances, it is the cozy place that a few of us call home. Shaymire also has a number of street merchants, home to a royal family of elves, and is famous for its greatly amazing tasting wines. Walk of Solace The walk of Solace is a 4 mile length leading out of Shaymire and is the only direction that leads to another town seeing that behind Shaymire is mountains, mountains, and more mountains. The walk follows a very large open field on one side with muddy waters and remains of a long forgotten battle and on the other side are a few trees here and there including one tree that if you eat its desirable fruits you will change into a hideous beast for as long as you live without eating another fruit which converts you back to your humanoid appearance. Mongoose City Mongoose City is the largest city on the continent of Amesia and being the largest city has its advantages. Most of the desirable shops and rare valuables are within these city walls. It has a famous Colosseum and museum, plus its the home of the Amesia Castle which is where the ruling family lives.
Please keep in mind that these settings are set in place for something for people to jump into doing and does not limit the settings of this role playing world. Any settings that you wish to create can have a description and picture if you provide them through pm to me with the title of the role play within the pm's title.

Though he would never admit it when it was obviously clear that it was true, he was staggering around in a drunken manner that bluntly stated that the description of the way he moved was not falsely put. He was drunk. Mumbling a bunch of things that made no sense to whomever they were spoken to or picked up the words. He made his way across from one side of the sleeping village to the other, another sleeping side of Shaymire. He noticed a few shadowy figures in the distance entering a semi abandon building, seeing that now that they were entering the building it wouldnt be abandon anymore. "Olm diseaced man Jerkins huse?" He slurred about, leaning agiasnt the walls of another building and spying on at them as best he could. "Olm relatives?" He pondered.
The drunken man made his way up to the front doors of the abandon building and tried to open them but to no prevail. He seemed confused at this realization of it being locked or blocked from opening and Beckle mumbled some more confusing words like why he was here and wondering what happened to that pear he had earlier that day. He sat down on the front porch and took out a bag from inside his jacket, opening it. Inside was a bunch of miscellaneous keys with a piece of paper tied around them by a string, reminding him what the the keys opened. Most of them were completely random that he did not remember where he got them at even if he wasnt drunken but soon he came to the key he was looking for, a skeleton key. "I am a curious man..Why would two shadowy figures enter a abandon building unless they are up to..." He lost his train of spoken out-loud thoughts and stood up from the ground, turning 'aboot' towards the door and entering the key.
"Xuse me! That is my..My key!" He complained, having not answered to this strange man why he was here and if he could indeed help him or not. He had two skeleton keys gained from one of his many adventures in his not so long ago younger years but they were rare and he would not part with one that easily. He opened up his jacket and quickly pulled out his mini crossbow and aimed, and when stating 'quickly' it was true for this event which was surprising for a drunken man. "First. My key.." He commanded with his weapon drawn as if robbing a bank. "Second, the reason why you are intruding in a deed man's huse.."
He was a little hurt by this short run in with this person at the house but more so at the knowledge of the purchase of the house. He didnt make many friends but Jenkins was a rare one who he did meet and eventually call his friend. Yeah he was a older gentleman but something about the old man made him easy to like and they were friends for the last couple of months of the old fellow's life. During that time he spent his hours within the old man's house and the old man even gave him a couple of his things as if he knew his time was coming to a end here on the planet. He decided to head back to the bar and to his room, unaware of the trickery played on him and thinking about the next drink he would have.
A mouse looked about inside the abandon house. It wasnt looking for cheese or a easy trap tease but rather a man and his vampire lady. To say the less it wasnt a mouse but rather a young heart broken girl looking for the one who caused this pain in her chest. Her little eyes scanned the room she managed to squeeze her way into but the limited eye sight of a mouse was not helping and she could only see just a little bit of the abandon room and felt safe to change back into a human. Doing so first caused her to grow upward, still naked until her human figure was reset and then her clothes that she wore before changing started to morph back onto her body. "Ah..Its dark in here.." She complained, looking around for a candle to light or a lightswitch to flip on. She had been following Echo for a month or so after finding his scent and following his and the vampire's tracks. She never got this close to catching up to him since he left the village and was feeling anxious to be face to face with him again..
She was a little shocked by the animal's reaction towards her though she knew who it was, she didnt expect him to treat her like this. Though she would commonly approach him in such a manner that obvious showed her affection for Echo, this time she backed up slowly. "Echo.." She mumbled, looking around as if expecting the vampire to appear and embarrass her like the first time they met. "Ive come to take you home.."
She whimpered and backed up a little more from him when he snapped at her. She knew that he enjoyed the wolf form and probably spent as much time transformed as it as he does when he is a human. She didnt say goodbye to him all those years ago. Hurt by his decision to leave home for a more adventure filled one and hurt even more when she discovered WHO tempted him to leave, that vampire. It ate at her with each passing moment, wondering if he thought she was more attractive than her or she had used some sort of magic on him that made her leave. They only met once and spoke few words but her charm and beauty even stirred her feelings which were confusing for the poor girl but in the end she made Pale look like a little child in comparison. She waited for his return.
"I want you to come back home.." She said softly, trying not to grow the attention of the vampire and not knowing of her slumbering status. She walked around and looked for something to eat but since they were new to the place there was nothing really of lawful edibility and eating something in this room would most likely get you sick. She stopped her search and approached Echo instead, carefully stepping into a few inches of him and looking up at the taller human, her eyes a little watery though she would never admit to being sadden by this encounter of her old friend. "Where is she..?"
She didnt have anything else to say as well but she did not end it at that. She moved agaisnt him and leaned up with help of her tippie-toes, kissing his neck once and though just once it was a long moment, or so it just seemed. Doing so hurt her feelings in such a painful way that she backed away and closed her eyes tightly, knowing that she should have done this years ago instead of hiding behind their childish behaviors. "Do you love her..Echo?" She asked just moments after non-verbally confessing what was probably obvious to him before she did that.
"Because you left me..For her!" She pointed out, rather loudly though she did not mean to do so in such a manner and looked down as if apologizing without words for her 'loud mouth'. It was easy for someone to see it like that seeing that the two in the years previous were always together and though they never came to a verbal agreement on being a couple it often was rumored that they were among the schools, there own parents, and other people who knew them. They had times as well when they would get close and even shared their first kiss with one another yet they were young and did childish things more then the mature things that would manifest what they had into something more. She approached him again in the same manner that lead up to the close moment that they had just seconds before but the obvious expression on her face was the sign that it wasnt leading to that same thing. She lowered her head again with sadness, lowering herself to the easily crushed being that her past always brought her back to. Pale wanted to be hold and told that he would come with her back to home and the two could be together but the likeliness that such a sentenced spoken from his mouth is highly unlikely.

She wanted to complain and tell him that he was lying, shout some more but he had never lied to her before and deep inside of her feelings she knew that he was telling the truth. She flinched when he touched her though she wanted it many times before and was relaxed on those occasions when he had gotten close yet she was afraid to give into her desires this time around because of the short amount of time they probably had together before he would be taken away from him once again. The silence was bothering the two of them and she broke it first, looking back up at him and speaking softly. "Your parents worry.." She said, or the people who took care of him before he left. ((I think dad and mom.)) "Things arent the same without you around..Not many people leave the village, it makes things different."
The proposal for her to leave brought tears to her eyes which was a relief for its timing seeing that he wasnt facing her anymore. She followed him after tossing away her tears and managed to catch up to his movement, watching as he picked up something from the floor and moving even closer, not feeling that regrettable doubt about being close like she did last time and fearing that this might be there last moment together. She pressed agaisnt him and with the help of the nearby staircase, soon had him pinned, in a way, agaisnt the wall. Her intentions were clear from the guiding of his hand to her hip and her hesitant but still desiring eyes meeting with his. "That one time when we got into my father's alcohol cabinet and soon were staring at one another after too many drinks.." She started, though this time the actions were not motivated by other means. "I wish then i had.." She paused, recalling pressing agaisnt him in a affectionate drunken manner and getting closer to him until she jumped away when she heard the front door open and her dad call out for her all those years ago.
She greeted the vampire with a lion's growl though she had not shapeshift into the beast as of yet. Being mean and sad and all the depressing and negative emotions was not common for Pale and was eating at her personality. She did not expect Echo to turn her down and do it so bluntly as if he was a married man who knew he shouldnt have a affair. He never turned her away before or they never verbally turned one another down. She also didnt expect the vampire to make her appearance and now felt like two enemies were staring her down..Echo and Adeline. She looked back at Echo, glancing at his eyes only for a instance for moving back from him and towards Adeline but did not stop and walked pass, stopping infront of the door. "Goodbye Echo....Adeline.." She said without turning back, opening the door and stepping outside. The outside brought the realization that it was raining, it seemed fitting considering her emotions at the moment and she paused outside to think of where to go now.
Pale was no where in sight when they left the house, having walked down the street now without care in the world that she was getting rained on. The town setting was new to her and so much unlike the village of changlings. She didnt know of a bar, hotel, general stores, and the likes and her empty pockets would not help her in a place that was fueled by money. She paused for a moment down a alleyway and looked in the back of a restaurant, over to a dumpster, and in the distance what looked to be someone's house. Her options were limited and with a sigh she soon morphed into a mouse once again and found a way into the back of the restaurant. Once out of the rain she transformed into herself again and curled up near a couple of sacks of flour and rested there for a while, thinking about Echo. The man who Echo met earlier ended up not falling asleep but was still at the bar, having yet another drink though in the bar setting he seemed sharper or perhaps he just had slowed down the amount he was drinking it.
Her whole body shivered and lasted only a few moments. It was a much bigger pain though this time around seeing that she had fought it back the whole time she was trying to convince Echo to come back with her. It was a cold for the changling which was more serious for a person of this race then a typical human. A smirk came across her face, knowing that if she got Echo sick he would most likely have to return to the village to get cured. It was not her original intention when giving chase to him all those months ago but being away from the shape shifter village and its perfect climate and setting easily got the females of the race sick. The males were more fortified then the females but could easily get it from them. She just hoped that it was the cold and not her mating period which had the same symptoms but females only had their mating period once every couple of years and had to mate at least once every three mating periods in order to continue to be healthy and risk the chance of death. If it was that time then this would count as the second one she had though she hadnt mated before. The smirked soon went away though, bringing back her depression that Echo wasnt with her at this moment. "I hate you Adeline.." She mumbled.
She jumped awake after only falling asleep for about 5 minutes, a older lady was smacking her with a broom and shouting in a language that she did not recognize. She smacked back at the broom and noticed with her eyes that she had changed into the lion when she fell asleep and smiled some, knowing now why the woman was panicking as much. She quickly rushed through the kitchen and into the dining hall, passing a few customers without making eyesight with any of them though listening to their screams. She soon made it outside and greeted the rain again. She shivered, shaking up her transformation and soon re-evolving back into the human state and rushing into a alleyway to hide from the non existing people who might find her. She did run into two beings though, one of them being a homeless man who seemed to be in the last hours of his life and the other being Adeline. She felt a mixture of emotions but the dominate one was self pity. She watched for a few moments while the vampire had her meal and knew that she probably knew that she was being watched. "Does it hurt..?"
((You changed her pic. Hmm. No lets not, she might decide to return and her only rp post isnt mingling with any of our characters)) She was not mad at her when she spoke to the vampire but after she replied back the anger she should naturally feel towards this person was growing back though she did not let it surface on her expressions or actions. "And let you kill me so you'll have 'him' all to yourself for all eternity?" She paused for the moment, the rain weighing down her hair and her clothes were now lost in saving from being completely drenched. "I think not.." She shivered again and her knees grew weak but she did not want to show it infront of the person who was keeping the one she loved from her and battled to stand straight, staring at her for a while. "Where are you taking him..? Just curious.."
Her mixed emotions were back, it was probably common when encountering a vampire and more so after you know one for the the amount of time one like Pale has. She was mean to her on occasions but before Pale could speak she often said something that was pleasant and lessened the damage already done. She listened for the sounds of the vampire walking away but did not pick up any sounds though she knew that she had. A warm place to rest would be hard for her to find and she felt like she did not desire to overcome the sickness she had but Echo would think less of her if she did such a thing and what he thought of her still mattered to Pale even if he did not care for her as she had wished he did. She lowered her head in defeat once again tonight, walking on down the alley in search for a warm enough place to rest and trying to forget.

Name: Adeline
Age: Was turned at the age of twenty. Has been a vampire for approximately one hundred fifty years.
Race: Vampire
Weapons: All that she really needs are her hands and teeth.
Bio: Doesn't remember much of her past life except that she lived with a wealthy family. After being turned her master taught her how to live life as the undead and how to hide what she is from society. She left her master about fifty years ago and two years ago met Echo. She had saved him once from an attack and since then he has been her protector while she rests. They have an unbreakable bond to one another and are rarely seen without the other.
Personality: A fairly quiet and withdrawn person, Adeline does like to socialize, but prefers to stay away from people lest they find out what she is. Though vampires are known to be all around the continent they are not welcomed for their terrifying history. The only person that she has allowed to become close to her - besides her ancient master - is Echo.
Powers: After fully awakening her powers years ago she is now able to walk in sunlight for several hours at a time, has super strength, and telepathy, among other things.
Weakness: Some apotropaic objects, unable to enter a dwelling without being invited in, dependence on the soil in which she was reborn to rest, and no reflection (revealing her identity).
Appearance: Normal Appearance - X Sleeping Appearance - X
Name: Echo Age: Twenty-four Race: Human (shape shifter) Weapons: Fists and a dagger in human form. Teeth and claws in wolf form. Bio: He grew up in a village at the base of one of the mountains to the south of Shaymire. There were never really any travelers that came through his village, due to people believing it to be cursed - a tale passed around camp fires and told to children from a young age. The truth is that it is not a curse, but something that the ancestors of the village managed to become thousands of years ago. He left his village two years ago after meeting and becoming friends with Adeline. Now he is her protector while she sleeps, and they have formed an unbreakable bond. Personality: A carefree type of guy, Echo likes to wander around and sometimes ignore Adeline's instructions - though most of the time he listens as he owes her his life. Powers: Ability to shape shift into a white-silver wolf, highly developed senses. Weakness: Adeline's puppy eyes, anything that can really harm a human being, the temptation to howl at a full moon (hah, hah) Appearance: Human form - X Wolf form - X

Her eyes scanned the area, noting that it still being dawn she had to keep to the shadows. The dawn sunlight always bothered her. Her eyes took too long to adjust to the change, but by the time the sun had risen just above the horizon they were back to normal. As early as it was at the moment, there were only a few people out wandering the streets of Shaymire. She had only just entered this town, wishing that she had not, but she needed to set up a place to rest. "Echo... You have located a place, right?" she asked quietly, her voice carrying through the relatively still air like a soft song. "Yes, Adeline. Come on, I'll take you there now," he replied, his arm winding around her waist to help support her. Adeline gave him a smile. She felt terrible for feeling like this. She had not consumed blood in a while, and thanks to resting in the coffins she had carefully placed around the continent she had not needed to. Now, however, she could feel the burning in the back of her throat - she would need to drink soon.
Echo helped Adeline through the nearly deserted streets, leading her towards the abandoned place in which he had set up a resting place for her. It was not too far away from the entrance to the town, and although it was abandoned there were still people that went there to make sure the building was intact. "We're almost there. Just a couple of minutes," he told her as they walked close to the shadows. He knew that as much as Adeline was able to walk in the sunlight, in this state she could not stand it for long. He was glad that he was able to help her these past two years, and would continue helping her. Echo froze and quickly glanced around at the shuffling of footsteps. After a moment, though, they got further away and he continued to half carry his vampire companion. As the two came up to the door of the building, Echo loosened his grip a bit. He had to be quick about this, and was sure that Adeline could only stand on her feet for a few seconds. Once they got to the door he let her go and walked into the building, listening to make sure that it was still empty. "All right, Adeline," he whispered, turning to face her. "Since I claimed this property as mine, you may come in." He saw her smile as she carefully and slowly entered the building. He gently grasped her arm, making sure that she did not fall. The floor was not exactly level, after all. It did not take long for them to reach the place where she would be resting for a few hours. Adeline glanced around the building she was now in, taking in the details. It would do for the day, but she and Echo would probably leave that night. Unfortuneately as well, she had to hunt. "Thank you," she whispered as she stood next to the coffin. The soil was probably all ready there, and as she pulled back the lid she saw that it was. She smiled at Echo again as she crawled into her resting place and looked up at him. He was holding the lid open for her as she got comfortable and then there was silence as they simply smiled at one another. "Sweet dreams, Adi," he said as he began to close the lid. "Remember that I will be watching out. You can rest easy." Adeline nodded slowly and closed her eyes, needing to rest for a couple of hours before going out and about the town. As soon as he had sealed the lid on Adeline's coffin, Echo heard the soft thudding coming from the door that they had entered. Working quickly he covered the coffin, making sure that it was hidden from anyone who did not know where to look. Once that was done he hurried up the stairs from the basement and walked to the door as he heard a key enter the lock. "Oh no you do not," he thought, pulling the door open with one swift movement. Echo stared down at a human male, narrowing his eyes. With his peripheral vision he noted the keys sticking out of the lock, and his hand moved to grab them. "Can I help you?" he asked quietly, holding the keys in his hand now. He could taste the alcohol resenating off of the man. His eyes glanced down and looked at the key that was between his thumb and his index finger. A skeleton key. Fantastic. Within a moment he had taken the key of of the chain and was holding it to get a better look at it. Echo decided to play along for a moment, raising his hands with the keys still in them. "Now, now. I don't think you need to do anything you may regret," he replied. He slowly extended his hand with the chain of keys, keeping the skeleton key securely in his other hand. As quick as this guy was to draw his weapon, he was still drunk, and thus would have a slow reaction to other things. "The reason that I am in this house, is because I now own it," he explained. "I find it quite rude that you are trying to enter it without permission." Echo narrowed his eyes and, with near inhuman speed, swung his fist forward to collide with this human's jaw. He "There was no need for violence," he commented, tossing the chain of keys at the man. "All you had to do was ask nicely." He nodded before shutting the door and locking it. Echo made a mental note to change the security system of the house. Echo listened as the human walked away, holding his breath before letting out a sigh of relief. He leaned against the door, thinking about what to do first. That was when he caught a soft voice from somewhere on the main floor, and his senses heightened. He clenched his teeth and transformed into his wolf form, finding it easier to use his animal senses than his human ones. Now on all four paws he sniffed at the air, catching the scent of the human that he had heard. With a soft growl he walked silently towards it. "Whoever it is, they have no right to be here," he thought as he neared the location. Echo stealthily walked closer to his target, noting that they were in the kitchen area. He paused, listening to the quiet movement from inside the area before jumping into the room, snarling at the female. The fur on the back of his neck was standing up and his ears were flat against his skull. It took him a moment to realize who the person standing in front of him was, but even after he did he barely lessened his aggressive state. No matter who it was, he had to protect Adeline from everyone while she slept. He snapped his jaws at her, showing his obvious rejection in her statement. Echo and Pale had been best friends when they were back in the village, but when he had told her that he was leaving she had not spoken to him after that. She had not even said farewell when he did leave, and for two years he had not seen or heard from her. Now she had just shown up, saying that she was taking him back to the village. Echo growled, lowering himself closer to the ground. As human as he was, he found his abilities as a wolf a lot more natural than his human abilities. However, he needed to talk to Pale to make her understand that he was not returning. Sending her a deep growl he turned and left the room, planning to change to his human form to talk to her. Echo entered a room just down the hall from the kitchen. The bathroom, more like. With a sigh he changed back to his human form, his body arching backwards as he grew taller under he stood on his hind legs at his height of six feet. He sighed again, leaning forward on the counter and looking into the broken mirror above the sink. He looked like a mess, but he really did not care. Leaving the room he walked back to the kitchen to where Pale was waiting for him. "What do you want, Pale?" Echo asked as he stopped in the doorway. He crossed his arms, waiting for her to speak. It was clear what she wanted, as she had all ready stated it, but he wanted her to expand on it.

Echo stood his ground, though at the moment being this close to Pale after so long made him slightly uncomfortable. "I am not going back," he replied, looking down at her. "I can't go back. I have things to do." He ignored her question about Adeline, not exactly thinking that it was Pale's business to know where the vampire slept. As nice as it was that she still was willing to talk to him, Echo was simply not up for talking to her about going back to his old home. He remained silent, waiting for her to continue with anything she had to say. Echo stood rigidly as she pressed her lips to his neck. Natural reaction, he supposed, what with traveling with a vampire. Once she had pulled away, though, he let out a soft breath of ease. Pale's question caught him off guard, though. "Of course I don't, Pale," he told her with clenched teeth. "Why would you think that?" He looked down at her with narrowed eyes. It was true that he did not love Adeline, but he could not help but feel that he needed to protect her with every fibre of his being. It was the vow he had made when he had first met Adeline. When she had saved his life. It was unbreakable. [[ I know, hey? Oh well - and yes, manifest is used in the right sense. ]] Echo's eyes widened slightly, but he closed them and turned his head away. He knew that Pale had been upset when he had told her that he was leaving, but he had not imagined that she was still upset - especially this much. "Pale... I did not leave you for her," he tried to explain in a calm voice. "I left because I owe her my life." He had not told anyone this before, not even his parents. He had only told his family, as well as Pale, that he was leaving to go on an adventure. They all knew, though, that he was leaving with 'the vampire'. Echo looked back to Pale, placing a hand on her shoulder. "I swear," he started again, "I did not leave because she put a spell on me or any thing like that. I gave a vow that I would go with her, because she saved my life." [[ It's because I'm f***ing awesome. cool It's fun to role play with you, too! ]] Echo sighed heavily. The comment about his parents worrying made him feel guilty for leaving on such short notice, but it was something that he had to do. "Tell them I'm fine. I haven't been eaten by 'the vampire', and I will visit them... sometime," he told her, taking his hand from her shoulder and turning to leave. "You should go, though. Adeline will be waking up in a short while." Echo stepped out of the kitchen, leading the way to the front door. As he neared it he spotted the key that he had left on the ground and scooped it up in his hand. "Pale, no," Echo said, moving his hands away from her and looking away. "It can't happen." It was true that years ago he had begun to feel a deep affection for this girl, a feeling deeper than friendship. Since he left, however, it had seemed to ebb away. He did not feel anything for her the way he used to. "That was something I left back in the village. I'm sorry.," he told her as he pushed her away gently. "I think you should go." "Yes. I concur." Adeline stood at the doorway, eyes narrowed at the girl now pinning herself against Echo. As much of a friend that the shape shifter was, she could not help but to feel a bit possessive of him. He was very dear to her, and she was displeased to see females pining over him. "Shall I escort you out?" she asked, taking a couple of steps forward. Adeline watched carefully as the girl left, her eyes staying locked on the door for a few moments after it had closed. Faintly she could hear Echo apologizing for waking her, and that was when she turned to look at him. "No matter, Echo. I have had enough rest to last me until later this afternoon," she replied with a sweet smile. "Shall we go about and look around town?" Her malicious attitude was gone now, replaced with her child-like sweet one. Now that the girl was gone she did not have to act as such, but be more natural.
Echo had also watched Pale leave, but had turned away to look to Adeline. After her suggestion of going out into the town, Echo smiled and nodded in agreement. He quickly went to find their cloaks, having heard and seen the rain when Pale had opened the door. "We do not need you getting wet," he commented as he offered her cloak to her a few minutes later. Adeline was pouting at him, but she took the cloak anyway and pulled it over her shoulders, allowing him to fasten it for her. Echo smiled as he pulled his own on and fastened it before walking towards the door. "Anywhere you would like to go first?" he asked, allowing her to step out first. "I am thirsty. Could we get something to drink?" she asked, pulling her hood up and looking at him innocently. He nodded with a smile, closing the door and locking it with the skeleton key he had acquired earlier. Once that was done he slipped it into his pocket and pulled his hood up before he and Adeline began their trek through the rain. Echo and Adeline walked down the near deserted streets of the town, arm in arm as usual. It was best to come off looking like siblings, though they looked nothing alike. The act was all a part of their journey. They had come to an agreement on it after they had started their journey. "Where do you think would be the best place to get a drink?" Adeline asked as they passed a couple looking in a shop window. "I would have to say an alley, or just outside of town," he replied quietly, keeping an eye open. The vampire had made it clear to him when they had first met that she only drank the blood from those who were dying. She refused to take a life from those who were healthy and able to survive, as it only reminded her of the life she had lost all those years ago. Adeline nodded, agreeing. She sniffed at the air, trying to catch the scent of someone sick and old. She had trained herself to do so years ago, and it had helped her in the long run. Within moments she had caught something and immediately needed to find it. "I am going to check around over there," she said, indicating where she was going. "I should not be long." She slipped her arm away from Echo's and scurried off like a child. She had caught the soft voice of his telling her to be careful, but she only giggled and waved it off to him. Echo continued down the street after having watched Adeline disappear down an alley. He pulled his cloak a little more around him, not wanting to get too wet. He was a little hungry as well, not having eaten since the night before. He spotted a small little restaurant and, since he had only eaten meat a vast majority of the time he traveled, he figured that it would do him good to order something 'green'. Echo entered the small restaurant and was immediately pulled to a table and given a small menu. He ordered after a quick glance and then was left alone. "Well... that was pretty decent service," he thought as he looked around. It was a cute place, he supposed. Neat and tidy, a place that probably got enough service to keep it running. A small smile came to his face as he rested his chin on his crossed fingers and waited for his food. [[ I'm wondering. If Freya isn't going to continue role playing, should we delete her character and her one post? *Updated Adeline's profile* ]] She ignored the newcomer, continuing to drain the mans life until there was barely any left in his body. He had died several minutes ago, the amount of blood not being enough to sustain his life. She had managed to work her way to a position where she was on one knee and cradling the old man in her arms, and now pulled her lips away and looked down at him. After a moment Adeline turned her, now, normal looking eyes towards Pale. "I am not sure," she said softly. "Do you want to find out?" She laid the man down and closed his eyes entirely. Her fingers hovered upon his cheek for a moment before she stood and turned back to the shape shifter. Adeline licked her lips, tasting the little bit of blood surrounding her mouth. Her fingers moved up to her lips, gently brushing them, before she licked the blood from them. Adeline laughed, a quiet song-filled laugh. After a moment she stopped, but a smile lingered on her lips. "I would not actually drink your blood, you know," she replied, ignoring her question as she stepped forward. "I am not so willing to hurt him as you have." She stopped just in front of Pale, staring her directly in the eyes. She could tell how weak the girl was, and she smirked at the knowledge of it. Raising two fingers she tilted the girls head up, using her inhuman strength to lift most of her weight so that Pale could stand tall. "You do not look well. I suggest you find a fireplace and curl up in front of it," Adeline said calmly, "like the little kitten that you are." The vampire removed her fingers from the shape shifters chin and turned, planning to find Echo. Looking down at her neat white dress and her deep blue cloak, she nodded in satisfaction that there was no blood spilled before walking away to find her companion. She paused at the end of the alley, looking over her shoulder with slightly narrowed eyes. It went against her better judgement, but she supposed that it would make Echo happy. "There is a fireplace at our new place," she called down the alley. "You can get warm there." Adeline said nothing else before turning and walking down the street. She was intent on finding her companion. He would need to know about their guest.
The shape shifter sat in the quiet restaurant, eating the food that had been brought out to him. He had ordered whatever had the most fruit and vegetables with it, and he was glad that the only meat on the plate was a chicken breast. "Enjoying yourself?" Echo smirked and looked across the table to Adeline now sitting in the empty chair across from him. He could not speak at the moment, since he had food in his mouth, so he nodded instead. "Good. I am glad," she replied with a smile. They sat in silence for a while until he was nearly finished eating. That was when he looked up at her, wondering why she was so quiet. Usually he could not get her to be as such. "We have a guest staying at our home," she answered quickly, noting the look in his eye. "I did not think you would like it if I just let your friend wander in the rain and catch a cold. So, she will be using our fireplace to get warm." Echo nearly choked on the food he had in his mouth.

This was also vineco's last post.
She nodded though didnt get a chance to say thank you. Her thoughts immediately went to this being a chance to pursue Echo to come back again but she knew it would be rude of her to do so because the vampire gave her a place to stay for the night. She would have to avoid conversation and interaction with her..ex friend..this night and then say her goodbyes after she had rested. She traveled back to that place and squeezed her way into the house with the thanks of her mouse form. She would not changed again after changing back to the human because when a changling was sick and they changed alot it increased the dangers of the sickness and she was already feeling quite bummed out. The fireplace wasnt lit yet and to be honest, she did not know how to turn one on though there were some blankets nearby which she borrowed and curled up into next to the fire. She thought she would stay awake as until they got back to the house but it was a failing mission as she was dropping in and out of consciousness then finally passed out. ((Like i wish i could do, MAN, i am dizzy >.< ))

Adeline smiled sheepishly, watching as Echo recovered and looked at her in surprise. She thought that he would be happy to know that his old friend would be sheltered and kept warm, but apparently it was the opposite.
"If you wish, I can get rid of her?" she asked playfully, resting her elbows on the table and crossing her fingers. "All that you have to do is say it."
"No, no! I'm... glad that she'll be safe," he replied, regaining his composure. "I just wasn't expecting Pale to be at our place..."
Adeline nodded. She supposed that it was a little short notice, but in all honesty it did not matter to her. If Echo wanted Pale to leave, she would make sure that the little rodent did.
Echo finished the last bits of his food and stood, holding out his hand to his vampire companion while tossing a bit of money on the table. She had taken it, her cold skin barely effecting him anymore, and together they left the restaurant.
"What would you like to do now?" he asked as they walked down the street.
"Um... I want to see what kind of jewelery they have," Adeline answered, having slowed as they passed a store.
Echo chuckled and lead the way into the jewelery store, letting her hand go so that she could wander about.

Beckle left the bar right as the two companions were passing by and bumped into the changling. It looked up at the man but immediatly spotted the extremely attractive woman and ignored the man.
"Hello miss." He greeted with a generous bow. He turned back to look at Echo and grinned a little to him though his attention was mostly on the woman. "Welcome to Shaymire."

Adeline stopped just before the store door and blinked at the man, a little confused as to where he had come from. She decided to be polite, knowing that she and Echo were most likely not recognized in this town.
"Hello, sir," she replied with a small curtsy. "Thank you. Can we help you with anything?"
She glanced up at Echo, seeing that he was tense. She wrapped her petite fingers around his and instantly felt his body relax. It was one of the talents she had with him. He had told her that nobody could make him relax so quickly.
Echo had glared at the boy, recognizing him to be the human who had tried to break into their new (though temporary) home. However, his body relaxed when he felt Adeline's cool fingers around his warm ones and he looked at her.
"I don't like this guy," he thought, sending her a look that mimicked his thoughts.
She merely nodded before they both turned their attention back to the newcomer. Echo was quite curious to see why he had spoke to them in the first place, though he figured that it was because Adeline was an extremely beautiful young woman.

He flipped out his miniature crossbow and pointed it at Adeline. Much less of a drunk then before and actually almost to a status considered to be 'silver(Sp?)'. Just moments before his finger had felt a sudden and almost instantaneous volt of shock and that finger had a magical ring on it that warned him when certain creatures were presence such as vampires, orcs, and other considered dangerous ones. Unfortunately he knew also that his bolts were not silver ones and those were back on a quiver tied to his horse so he had to play it along and flee rather fast if it came to fighting this vampire.
"I knew a beauty of your quality could not be just a regular human.." He pointed out with a smile, his crossbow pointing over at the changling to let him know that he hadnt forgotten.

Adeline blinked at the crossbow, a little confused by it. She looked up at Echo, giving him a face that showed her confusion. Echo had his eyes narrowed and stepped in front of the vampire, shielding her from any possible attack. Now as the time to play his part.
"Excuse me, sir. I would greatly appreciate if you put your weapon away," he hissed, gritting his teeth. "Unless you have proof that my fiancée did anything to provoke such behaviour, we would appreciate if you moved on."
Adeline peeked out from behind Echo, looking to the strange man still pointing the crossbow towards her and Echo. She noticed that there were a few people beginning to step on to the street from their shops to see what was happening. She gulped and clung to Echo's arm, putting on the perfect act.
Echo stood his ground in front of Adeline. Though they were not actually engaged, it was the act that they had chosen to pull off, seeing as they could not take the role of siblings. It always won when somebody questioned them.
"Please, sir. Lower your weapon," he said as he moved his hand forward and gently pressed down.
"What is going on here?"
The owner of the jewelery store that Echo and Adeline were about to enter before they had been stopped now stepped out of his store to see what the commotion was. Though, really, it was not a big thing.
"This man just pulled a crossbow on us, sir," Adeline said quietly from behind Echo, using her innocent act to lure the owner to her side.
Echo did not turn away from the man in front of him, but mentally melted at Adeline's voice. One would think that after spending two years with her and hearing it many times that he would have become immune, but he was still as weak as ever.

He had thought of shooting the man in the foot to get him out of his way but noticed there act was working for the crowd around them and he did not want to spend the rest of his days in a prison or fight his way through a crowd of innocent people while wasting his arrows on a vampire since as rumor goes about it, only certain weapons harmed them. He lowered his weapon but approached Echo so only he could hear his words, or him and those who had equal hearing of elves if any of them were in the crowd.
"I do not take friendly to vampires..Personal matters..I do plan on killing her.." He whispered, backing away afterwards and then leaving the two in the streets as he walked back into the bar and up to his room.

Echo narrowed his eyes, glaring dangerously at the boy now walking away. He so badly wanted to attack him, to show that boy that he would not be able to touch her if he tried. However, Adeline had other plans on the matter, and with a touch of her hand to the back of his neck he became much more calm.
"In time, love. Just be patient." he heard in his thoughts.
He let out a sigh and turned to face her, placing his hands on her shoulders.
"Are you all right?" he asked, knowing full well that she was.
"I am fine, love," she replied with a smile.
"I am sorry that he had to bother you," the store owner said with a grim smile. "He is a lonely man. He tends to drink plenty, and I believe that he meant no harm."
Echo nodded and wrapped an arm around Adeline. He really did not want her to be wandering around right now.
"I believe you, sir. I could smell the alcohol on his breath," Adeline commented , wrapping her arms around Echo's waist.
She could sense that he wanted to return to their house and she completely agreed. It would be the natural thing to do if a human were just faced with someone who wanted to attack them. She nodded at the store owner, bidding him a farewell before she and Echo proceeded to walk back to their house.
"How did he know?" Echo asked once they had reached a nearly deserted street.
"Aside from the obvious reasons?" Adeline replied with a smile. "I would guess that he probably has some kind of device that tells him. From what he said to you I would find that the most reasonable answer."
They walked in silence for a bit longer until they reached their home. Echo pulled out the skeleton key that he had acquired previously from the man who had stopped them in the street. Unlocking the door he opened it and walked inside with Adeline. She was now holding on to his arm and smiled up at him as he closed the door.
"What shall we do now?" she asked in a curious tone.

He returned to his room, immediately going over to a dresser and moving things out of the way until finding a bottle of whiskey and his glass, pouring himself one. His thoughts traveled to a event in the past whilst he was drinking and moved back to a chair, sitting down.
His memories recalled a male of his age fighting in a war and enjoying themselves in a bar. One memory though was of him meeting his friend in a place and noticing a change in him, one for the worse for him as the male had become a vampire since the last time he saw him. His friend tried to convince him to become one as well but he refused so his friend tried to feed from him anyway. Events followed that led to the two having not seen each other again, he thought he had killed his ex friend though it was not positive. He sighed a little and got up from the chair, his thoughts drained the glass of the liquor and he went over to prepare another one.
The noise of people entering did not wake Pale. Her dreams were troubling her though and she was turning about in terror. Finally she awoke to notice the two had returned, she was being quiet and watching them, hurting herself to see the two connected so much and decided to lay back down and pretend or fall back to sleep. She was giving up and it was toying with her emotions.
