They never believed the scientists. The same scientists that tried so desperately to warn about the sun's activities as the solar flares started to pick up, arcing across the firey surface. Electronics were pushed too far, the currents overloading the circuit boards, the metal flaring to life across them. The power lines becoming lines of fire across the nations, leaving behind ruins as fire caught and spread, taking out vegetation and human life as well. People were affected, heart problems magnified as the body revolted against the magnetic changes.

It had started the decline of humanity, the worse coming out in people as they struggled and fought over food and shelter. The weather growing against them as everything seemed to cool, dust choking out precious sunlight. What vegetation left struggled to survive along side the humans who struggled themselves.

People banded together, warring against each other for the smallest supplies of food and water, many people rigging together weapons from scraps they found. People no longer stood with their nations, lands quickly divided in to territories that groups controlled, resorting to the cruelest of warfare to protect themselves.

The sudden changes crazed some, lives extinguished as they were stripped of what defined them, no longer having access to what they considered normal. Electronics scarce instead of everyone carrying at least a cellphone.
