For the time being it is simply an empty room. It has been kept spotless in anticipation for the person who will occupy it eventually.

The Lieutenant's office is a large room that has been divided into two rooms by a traditional Japanese room divider. One side is clearly the Lieutenant's office. An oak desk and chair with a small book stand can be seen in the room. In front of his desk are two oak chairs for visitors to sit in. There are multiple paintings hanging from the walls. On the other side of the divider is the Lieutenant's sleeping quarters. It holds a very thin sleeping pad with blankets and pillows. There is a dresser and small closet in the room for the Lieutenant's personal items. The whole room is lit by candles and feels very warm to anyone who enters it. The Lieutenant requested this set up so he can be available to his squad's every need at any time.

Yatsufusa and Kenji walked down the hall from Yatsufusa's office to the room which would serve as Kenji's office. The other members of the squad watched as yet again their captain strolled around with his haori yet again. He stopped in front of the door and opened the door. The empty room awaited its new tenant.
Yatsufusa motioned Kenji to walk through the door, "Kenji-kun, I hope you find this to your satisfaction. You can call in some of the squad to help you move your things in." He smiled warmly but his eyes painted different picture. Yatsufusa was a strange individual and though he was a captain he acted very differently than the other captains.

Kenji looks at Yatsufusa-San and says, "This will be just fine sir. I think we will do great things together Yatsufusa-San. You just watch and see ... soon everyone will want to be a part of the 9th Division. I won't rest until we are the top division." Kenji smiled and pated the Captains shoulder before bowing to him.
Kenji then turned to the guard at the front desk and yelled, "Please get someone to bring my bags into my new office. I also have a list of things that I will need so get me a runner as well."

Yatsufusa nodded at Kenji's enthusiasm, but he felt that it may have been a bit misplaced. A Yatsufusa ideal for his Division 9 was about the element of surprise. The more well known they became the harder it would become for its members to investigate matters in secret if the need arise, but for the moment being he would allow Kenji to have his moment.
Yatsufusa smiled, “Now, now,” he said in a joking manner, “I’ll take my leave for the time being. If you need me just stop by my office. I may have an errand or two for you once your done setting up here.” He slid his hands into his sleeves and began to walk back to his humble little flowery office he wished to continue to watch the blooms wilt.

Kenji bowed to Yatsufusa-San and watched the Captain walk away. It wasn't until the Captain was out of sight and then it all "clicked" in Kenji's head. Talking to himself, Kenji says "The element of surprise ... that's why he doesn't want people to know who he is. I'm a little slow on the uptake today .... Anyway, let me get this room all set and I will go see what assignments he has for me."
Kenji came to when the runner appeared and bowed to him. Kenji gave him the list of items he needed and told him to hurry up because there was much work that had to be done. The runner grabbed four of his buddies before taking off to get the items for Kenji.
Kenji smiled and started puting his things away in the closet. He took off his Vice Captain robes and smiled before hanging them in the closet. Yatsufusa-San was right ... the element of surprise will work in their favor outside of the 9th Division .....

Yatsufusa stood before his lieutenant's door his hands in his sleeves infront of him. On this occasion he was visiting his lieutenant in full garb. His haori draped around his shoulders he stood tall with pride. He drew his right and from his sleeve and opened the door slowly and as he did so he began his greeting, "Kenji-kun!" he said with a grin on his face. "How has my lieutenant been?"
Yatsufusa was his usual strange self. Little could predict what he could possibly do next with that smile and those eyes he was a very questionable person.

Kenji was sitting at his desk looking at some paperwork when the door opened and his Captain came in. Kenji jumped to his feet and bowed saying, "Hello Yatsufusa-San, please come in and have a seat. Can I get you some nice hot tea or maybe a nice warm cup of sake? I was just going over some paperwork. The workers just left and my office/sleeping quarters look great now. What is on your mind sir?"

Yatsufusa motioned Kenji down with his hands, "no need Kenji-kun," he smile, "now, now Kenji-kun I came to visit you. You don't have to get up on my account even if I am your captain." He looked around the room and nodded, "You've made youreself comfortable."
Yatsufasa could see that Kenji had put much thought into the arrangement of his room. He almost felt a bit down for not bringing Kenji a office warming gift, he shrugged it off as he continued. "I just dropped by wanting to see how things are going for you and to see if you would like to run an arrand for me."

Kenji looked at Yatsufusa-San and said, "I'm doing great sir. What is it you would like me to do for you sir? I'm not busy at all and it would be an honor for me to help you out."

Yatsufusa smiled, "I need you to run over to Division 13 and give something to Captain Shin Kanzato." He began to ruffle through his sleeves as he began to search for something. His eyes lit up as began to pull out a small wooden box. "Ah, this is it!" He began to offer to Kenji.

Kenji bows and reaches to take the package from his Captain. Kenji then says, "Do you have any special orders or instructions from me sir?"

Yatsufusa nodded, "Yes actually. You will not only be delivering this package but to also recieve a status report on the welfare of Division 13. Find out if there is anything the good captain may want us to look into." Yatsufusa took a couple steps to the right to allow Kenji acess to the door. "I wish you best on this minor task."

Kenji bows and says, "Yes sir. Will there be anything else before I take off on this mission for you?" Kenji grabs his zanpakutou ....

Yatsufusa shook his head, "Yeah! Its a letter for Chaptain Kanzato's eyes only! No peeking!" He said in almost a childish manner. He said with that same odd expression of his. The eyes that said one thing and the smile that said the opposite.
