people will say "how do you know get gambit is no good if you don't even give them a try." so here is my story.
about july 24th i decided to give the "guide to free cash" a try and do an offer or two. everything seemed fine at first. i had just moved so i gave them my old address and phone number which were still active and valid. when you got your gaia cash, you got the hat (this was before they announced that they did this).
around july 30th, the rules they had posted were no longer "the rules". about that weekend, most of the free offers done by people were being ignored or put off by "standard responses". from that point on, you were lucky if you got anything. (btw, i have a screen shot of the rules before and after they decided to inform us that the rules changed.)
i did free offers. i also did some of the mobile offers because i had an old mobile phone with free minutes on it. the guide has "how to not get charged" but make no mistake, they charge you the first month's fee immediately. my phone got maxed out of its free minutes by the sixth offer. how many offers did i get credit for? one.
i called getgambit and they said that they had to follow the rules set by their sponsors. i find this very hard to believe. i can see one sponsor deciding to change thier rules, but for all twenty or thirty sponsors to change their rules at the same exact time...? and to the same standards.... a wee bit fishy. so without telling anyone, they decided that only one offer per sponsor would be honored. (they also told me (in so many words) they hate prepaid mobile phones. why? because if you don't cancel the "free offer" you sign up for, they can't charge your credit card and you can just throw the phone away... and not get charged.)
but that wasn't good enough. they say that you can be credited for each valid NEW address per offer/sponsor, but suddenly they started saying that someone else in the house must have done the offer so you couldn't be credited with it. i live alone. i only did it on one account. but i did notice that some of the offers will open a new window as soon as you fill out the first page. that window will say "last step" which is what you need to reach to get credit. meanwhile you go thru the maze of offers and reach another "last step". ta-da! you must have tried to do get credit twice. except you never got credit for the first one.
i could go into great detail, but that would be a very long post indeed. but if anyone has any questions i would be happy to answer.
lately if you do an offer, not only do you not get credit, but it doesn't even show up that you even did the offer. with no acknowledgement of the offer even being started, you have no way to post a problem ticket.
woops. spoke too soon. they just started to reappear...
oh, btw, i have two computers. an old old old computer and my regular one. i only did the offers on my old computer so my new one would not get any viruses. the two computers don't even interact with eachother.
how does getgambit make money?
they sell your information to anyone asking for it. not just their sponsors. ANYONE. that alone is worth more than all the gaming credits or online cash they give out. once they have your info, it doesn't matter if you are happy or not.
how does gaia make money?
getgambit pays them for each new name. gaia could just sell our info directly and make monely like getgambit does. but they actually said no. if the person wants their info to be public, let it be their choice.

ok, i have screenshots of july, august, and september rules.
they change the "tips" on completing an offer successfully, but under the FAQ, they have not changed one very important answer...
under tips (this month)
The same offer cannot be completed once per account and IP address even if the information submitted is different.
(uh, cannot be completed once? doesn't that mean you will never get credit ever?)
under the FAQ
#5 How many times can I complete an offer?
You may only complete each offer once. Completing an offer more than once will not result in extra payments. An offer sponsor will not allow you to complete an offer more than once with the same valid information.
