Deepwood Volu

Males

User ImageUser Image
Asher - my first volu, he was purchased at a newbie flatsale as a sightless little cutie. He was named for the color of his fur, as well as the meaning, "blessed."

User Image
Terrell - named after an Original Character of mine who has the same hair and eyecolor. Both are cute and rather timid...

User Image
Altan - My first custom, and a gift from Ursah Bunny! His name is Turkish, meaning "red rising sun." He came with a lovely little poem that also fits him wonderfully:
What's red and black and freckled
with copper filigree
and big brown eyes, and bushy tail
and lots of spots to see?

Mate: Starlit
First breeding: 2 fae, 2 deepwood - Toriso (m) and Taitah (f), Trinasa (f) and Darcie (f), respectively.
Second breeding: 3 fae, 3 deepwood.

Paradox - name will be more apparent once he is adorned with his grunny, for how can one zombie feed from the braaiiinsss of another? Paradox is surprisingly fit and snuggly, if a little bitey, for a zombie. He is also intelligent. Go figure.

Females

User Image
Gekko - the volu whose name has a double meaning; my first thought was that she looked like a gecko, then in a book I was reading, a Japanese woman went by the name of Gekko, meaning 'lily.' It all seemed to fit.

User Image
Limeade - her coloring made me think of green goo kids play with, or eat, or drink; but the most appropriate name that did not sound disgusting was the one I chose. Nevertheless, she was bought over Halloween. I hope she does not mind too much.

User ImageUser Image
Darcie - Altan's third-born from his first breeding, mother Starlit! Because of the parents' names, I went with the celestial themed names. Darcie means "of the dark" in Greek, which goes well with her dark fur and subdued demeanor. Not social and not very cuddly, she would rather hide behind me than say 'hello'.

User Image
Musoke - a flatsale whose name means "rainbow," in an African language that wasn't specified. The name itself brings to mind the word "smoke," which makes me think of rainbows that come out after a heavy thunderstorm over the plains. Musoke has that cautious glee about her that animals have after an earthquake or thunderstorm.

User ImageUser Image
Sienna - my second volu bought from a baby flatsale! This little lady was just a luck of the draw, but I feel very lucky to have come by her. If she looks like a little fox, she is certainly full of energy and playfullness. Sometimes she gets too riled, and tends to n**, but she never means to injure.

Longtail Volu

Males

User Image
Kalahari - my watermelon volu! One day, this longtail is destined for greater things, and much longer fur. He is my tribute to all things watermelon, from the colors to the fruit to candy that claim to have its flavor. I love it all. And I love him muchly. He is a cuttlebug but loves to play. Gender, size, and species hold no bounds for this little guy, so beware!

Females

User Image
Iris - Iris is very special to me. My first longtail, she is also has the same colors, as well as tiny white flowers, of a bouquet of irises, my late grandmother's favorite flower. I miss her very much, but this gentle little volu helps me feel better and remember the good times.

Topaz - my birthstone volu! Nevermind that she was created long before November. Names like Honey and Amber were simply too cliche. She deserves fancy. *lifts pinky finger*

User ImageUser Image

Taitah - Altan's secondborn, with Starlit! My first volu born through a breeding by one of my own volu. I love her cotton candy pink fur and flame-marked fae wings Her name is a mixture of Native American (sorry, don't know which languages) ones. Taipa (f, wingspan) + Paytah (m, fire). She's cute and loves attention, but has a fiery temper when pestered or mistreated (or when those she loves are).

S.E. and Holiday Volu

Special Edition

Males

User Image
Bowtie - My Little Pony theme flatsale yielded this little one. Granted all but one small line and a few odd others were females, but this one... wanted to be male. Sorry. He still loves his MLP doll. ^.^

Females

User Image
Hearts - My Valentine's Day Volu from 2006, a volu so curious as to be almost blinded by her current interest. Curiouser, as she so brightly-colored as to be almost blinding herself. She is of lovely rainbow hues, with abstract lines that remind one vaguely of hearts. Hearts herself can be quite timid when she realizes any transgressions she may have made, so try to be understanding.

Cupid

Males

none.

Females

User Image
Ciel - a gift from kittykato for Vday 2006! She is indeed heavenly, as her Latin-origin name suggests. She is gentle by nature yet strong in conviction and firm with the youngest volu when need be.

Cider - what amalgam of smells comes to mind with the mention of 'gingerbread'? For me, it includes cinnamon, ginger, allspice, apples, nutmeg, and a Christmas Tree. What could be more cozy? So the name Cider seemed perfect to me, especially since he's such a snugglebug.
