Crisis Core, XII, and Dissidia.
I'm hoping to add XIII, Versus XIII, and Agito XIII to that list, soon enough.

2: For its realistic approuch to a war and death. Despite its dark depressing attitude it had, I loved how Firion, Maria, and Guy were able to push past their sorrow and continue to fight, even if the ending wasn't going to be a happy one.
5: God that was a funny game. Bartz being the only man in the party after Gaulf dies, the perfected job system, blue magic, and who can forget the greatest enemy in the entire series. GILGAMESH! I also loved the use of popular 90's American pop culture such as the teen age mutant ninja turtle quite, as well as Gilgamesh's power ranger quite. V was also the first to actually surprise the player with Faris, a crossdressing Pirate Princess. Though its understandable why it didn't come here, seeing teh strict censorship laws in America, there was a time where people stoppe dcaring and it was released with Chrono trigger on the PSX.

X is probably my favorite. I tend to like sad games like that and KH: 358/2 Days, so...
I'm hoping to love XIII as well.

I liked X a little bit due to Tidus. He is one of those characgters that surprisingly isn't crying over their tragic past all the time. If you really look at him, you wouldn't think his dad was a hard a** on him. Hell he was a cocky jock, not my favorite combination. People point out his verge of crying spots in the game, but hey, he is human.

Most everyone reacts humanly in FFX. One of the reasons I like it so much.
It also mostly avoids my major b***h about the Kingdom Hearts series: nobody ever ******** touches each other! Excepting unconscious people being carried around, the number of times people touch in each of the games can be counted on one hand. FRIENDSHIP DOES NOT WORK LIKE THAT [/rant]

Wow... Mostly everyone's favorite is FFX, and I also enjoy playing that game. But that's my second favorite, my number one favorite is FFIX. Everyone have their own roles throughout the game and has a decent enough storyline, and some comic relief.

The older generation is hardly ever mentioned now a days. When I mean by older generation, I mean the NES and SNES generation. The first one ironically is the most overlooked series in the entire line. 5 didn't get much because it was released in Japan the first time it was out, later remade with 4, 1&2, and 6 for the playstation.
However 5 out of all the games, was pretty much the comedy of the series. If you sit down and play it, read what happens, and fight certain badguys, you will know where I'm coming from. But what makes people not finish the game is that they don't understand the job system too well. Were you see the ultimate combo on Dissidia, if you don't make that combo and master key jobs, you will NOT beat Neo Ex-Death. Basically, if you want to get close to beating the game without ultimate combo, you need to master Knight, Thief, Summoner, and Ninja. There is a little secret to the freelancer job and by the end of the game, you will either be a freelance again or if you prefer magic, you will be a mime.

Well before you play, I will explain a little trick about the job systems. Now staying one job is NOT recomended like in other games. See your ultimate two classes will be your first job aka Freelancer and Mime.
At first Freelance will suck, same with mime, but get this, you know you can change their states with job levls? Well when you max out a certain job, for this I will use Summoner as Example. Say your a mime and you want to increase your magic. Max out summoner, and the 31+magic you get with summoner goes to freelance and mime. Now when you max out white mage, you get a 21+magic but that won't take away from the summoner bous. The dominate trait stays but that doesn't mean you should not max out white mage.
Knight has an attack and defense boost and its needed to practically get anywhere in the game. Though characters have their own set states, you want to master jobs to increase those stats. Seeing that Bartz is an attacker not far from the fastest, you want to master Knight first and take equip sword ability you learn from it and switch to thief to get better speed for Bartz. Now gaulf is tricky, because he leaves the party and gets switched out from Krile, you want to give him the thief job and work on black mage, time mage, summoner, and red mage.

They'll probably be announcing a remake of FFV any time now. Since they're remade I-IV already in the last few years.
