Gothrock Gothrock (or gothic rock) was started at the Batcave, a club in London. It originally dealt with new wave and glam rock, but later came to be the birthplace of the first wave of gothrock. A good example of this wave of gothrock would be Siouxsie and the Banshees. The second wave of gothrock has more hardrock influence. A good example of this would be Sisters of Mercy.
