According to the an official statement from Joss Whedon's current show Dollhouse River Glau, River Tam, will be guest starring in the upcoming 2nd season.
No comment on if she will be like schizo River from Firefly, kickass River from Serenity, or something else entirely.

I can see that you are some what confused. Its Summer Glau not River Glau.
Yes she will be a couple episodes of Dollhouse during season 2, she is also staring in another show called Good Morning Rabbit its a comedy, from one of the writers from Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of Summer, especially in this new comedy since this would be a different direction that we normally see her in.

Huzzah! Actually, I'm looking forward to more BSG/Joss crossover in the form of Jamie Bamber. Now if they could get Katee Sackhoff on the show...

YAY I say more BSG crossovers with Whedon. I read he really liked the reimagining of BSG. So thats always a win. Summer will apparently play a Dollhouse employee or something who has a history with Echo. It seems lots of people in the has somewhat of a history with Echo.
On Good Morning Rabbit, the trailer I saw isn't really very catchy. I saw like 3 or 4 TSCC alum in it. It's a totally different scene from Summer's past works.
BTW, did you ever notice that Riley from TSCC looks kinda like a younger Katee Sackhoff?

Yes she has already played in it, I saw a few episodes buts its been awhile, also Dollhouse received the axe from FOX so its dead.
