I've seen a lot more people who liked George R. R. Martin but barely anyone who likes or even heard of Lloyd Alexander and was curious if anyone here knew of him.

I"ve seen the cartoon of The Black Cauldron but haven't really picked up one of his book. I don't normally read the teen/young reader stuff, sorry.

I love Lloyd Alexander. :3 I've read a large chunk of everything he had written. Time Cat is my favorite. I've worn out three copies of that book. ^^;

I have only read the Chronicles of Prydain and that was quite some time ago. I really enjoyed them though. The Westmark trilogy is supposed to me more mature so I will look into those.

He wrote Time Cat? I loved that book when I was younger. Sadly I can't remember anything about it.

Yup, he wrote Time Cat. :3 It's been thirteen years since I first read that book and I still love going back to reread it.

@ Ronzer:

The Westmark trilogy is awesome. I couldn't put them down.

I enjoyed his work although I haven't read anything by him in years. My favourite was Time Cat.

Oh! When I was younger, my older sister would read his books to me. I really loved Tarren Wanderer, is that how u spell it? Those books were kinda part of my childhood.

o:

The Chronicles of Prydain where my favorite books when I was wee before Harry Potter came out! Haha, I had such a hard time pronouncing all of the Welsh-based names when I was that young. I still have the very worn copies that my Canadian uncle sent me when I was six. Oddly enough, he's also the one that sent me Philosopher's Stone when it first came out. . . . <3

Let's see, I also loved Time Cat and The Remarkable Journey of Prince Jenn. The Westmark Trilogy was pretty good, too.

I was sad when I found out Lloyd Alexander had died recently. It wasn't really on the news or anything, so I just found out a few months ago.
