You know, we went more into what characters we like, instead of our mains. Here post your main characters and why. I'll start.....
Cosmos mains:
Firion: Because I wanted to work with a character who seemed bad. Firion is limited to ground combat, but surprisingly is what makes him really good. Because he is limted, the people in the air tend to get bored and charge Firion, and because of wall, Firion can counter attack with triple magic or knife frenzy. Not only that, the majority of his moves crush guard.
Bartz: Because Bartz and I are the same in a sense. We both have a overall odd outlook in life, and we have both been verbally assualted by reptiles. That, and I love his mixed combos. Many of the moves I like are mixed into one crazy combo.
Warrior Of Light: Because no one told me I could play as him and totally kick a**. Well I showed you Colby. You guys banned me from him because of Knight! HA! Didn't think I was smarter than the average bear huh?
Chaos: Golbez: Because he is the only magic user that will allow me to completely throw people off their game.
Jecht: A METEOR MAGICALLY FALLS FROM THE SKY INTO HIS ARMS AND HE THROWS IT AT YOU!Does anyone not see the awesome in that?
Mateus: Just because I'm a phantom member of, UBOAR! A mateus fanclub that was started in Japan. My cousin signed me up......yes I'm part Japanese......
Cloud of Darkness: Because I'm a pervert. Half naked women shoots laser beams, come on!
Gabranth: Take me and see why. LET ME SEE YOU SUFFER!

Cosmos:
Tidus: Because of his agility, and the fluidity of his attacks. It's so easy to just fool an opponent with a dodge and then BAM! An attack right along with it.
Cloud: Because I like Omnislash Version 5, and since he specializes in Wall Breaks, he shines most in levels with alot of walls, and such.
Squall: Because he's a brave parasite. 'Nuff said.
Zidane: His aerial combat is peerless, and I love his voiceacting. And Solution 9, despite its terrible accuracy.
Chaos:
None.

Cloud: I mainly like cloud for Omnislah V. 5, it's a sick move and almost too easy to pull off.
Squall:He's fluid as hell for me when I use him I'm almost untouchable.
Chaos:
Mateus: C'mon he's a beast.
Jecht: He's the only member of the manly tier. Nuff' said.
Golbez: He's just fun to me.
Garland: I like big weapons and he's really fun when used right.

Sorry for the delay. Didn't get Dissidia at the same time you lot did.
Cosmos:
Terra: Because..... I don't know, I can just use her pretty well.
Cloud: The first and only character currently at level 100. I had to play him because his was my favourite game and his style is really easy to use.
Shantotto: Apart from being ridiculously powerful, she has incredible booty.
Choas:
Cloud of Darkness: I can actually use her pretty well for a naked tentacle-flailing mage
Golbez: HELL YEAH! Every brave attack chains into a HP attack and come on, he can just really go crazy at times. Don't even need Black Fang.
Kefka: SMACK!
Sephiroth: Yep, he's my best character. There's no debate possible.
Ultimecia: If her HP attacks could actually connect she could be in my top 5
Jecht: He can almost have an unstoppable combo of brave and hp attask.

Cosmos
Zidane -- His swift movements and mastery with arial combat is just my style. He has a decent balance of long and close-range HP attacks, and his bravery attacks can often strike from unexpected angles.
Chaos
None really.
