Yet another Symphonic Prog band I have discovered in my Prog travels, this time a relatively new band that released its first album, A Doorway to Summer, in 2005. The real masterpiece here though, is actually Blomljud, the album they released last year. It takes some of the Swedish blend and some of the British blend and mixes it together to give us a rather upbeat, lush atmosphere, filled with lots of piano, organ, and some really well executed harmony vocal work.

The last one is, of course, dedicated to the late Max Yasgur, who made history when he allowed half a million to congregate on his 600+ acres of farmland in August of 1969, for what would become the biggest music festival the industry has ever seen, Woodstock.

To be honest they remind me of The Flower Kings, except I like Moon Safari better. Tried listening to TFK yesterday and I wasn't diggin' it. Then again I only heard one album, so I'll give it another two or three albums to sink in.
