OK here are a couple hacks and scams people send you.
1. This one is the most common. The pm will say hello, we have been informed about your account. We don't usually ask for this stuff but now we must. Please fill this out:
Username:
Password:
E-mail address:
Please put a space between each letter of your password.
Thanks gaia administration.
Gaia will NEVER ask for your password. If the username is NOT in a color then it is not gaia admin. Only gaia admin has there usernames in colors. Please do not fall for this!
2. This is one I just noticed. They say do you want to make guild? well there is basically this bot that plays gaia for you. Just fill out this form (link) and download it. It will make you tons of gold. Heres proof (link).
I mean the bot is probablly a virus and you will need to give your password and then its just a regular person who will take al your gold and valuables. This one is so not true so dont do it.
3. This was the first one I got and I fell for. They just send you this link and they say just fill out this form and it will get you tons of gold. The link will lead you to some type of form that asks for your username and password. I actually filled this out. Then I could not get my account back. (Please look in the other topic on how to get your account back.)
Basically anything that asks for your password DO NOT DO. No matter how nice they sound or how well you think you no them. DO NOT GIVE your password to ANYONE.
These are just a couple things people send you to hack your account.

They even put an id number and had a gaia online header. If the username is NOT in a color it is not gaia.

OK if the username or an orange username if it does not look like this, it is NOT gaia admin.

All gaia admin has a green username or orange username. (Sweet N Leo is a real gaia admin but, there are other ones too.)

Those are not hacks. Those are scams. Hacks would be more like "Oh hai I'm just taking your account now with brute force hack now. Thanks for your 2 million gold avi"

l Kuja l Those are not hacks. Those are scams. Hacks would be more like "Oh hai I'm just taking your account now with brute force hack now. Thanks for your 2 million gold avi" no hacks are breaking into something... you can use it like i hacked into the wall... but we know it as hacking into a computer. they crack ur password. scam is scamming someone, like making them beleive something that is not true. and they just ask for ur password like in the message above^^ and they try to scam you into giving them your password. i hope this helped

I know those are scammers. And the special software and keywords is basically bruteforce hack. They can set it up so it tries combinations of passwords and it eventually matches up, and then they have the password. THAT is Brute Force hack and I do know how to do that. I just don't have the software. But I am just learning from Hackforums.com. I recommend this site as it can help you learn about this stuff and what people can do, and what you can do to protect yourself against things like this. Good job with the guild btw.
