This may not seen like a big deal but it is, this is the name your baby has to live with for the rest of its life! If you name her somthing crazy like ramboo your baby will one day grow up and have to go to school with that name. Me on the other hand, I have a horrible case of OCD or how I like to say CDO (its in abc order that way lol) I looked up and researched the name of my daughter before naming her so she could have a good strong name. Sasha which means "protecter". If you just randomly pick a name you could name her somthing like barbara which translates to....BARBARIAN! So you wanna know what that name means before stamping your kid for the rest of its life! post it here and I'll tell ya wink

I'm naming my son Declan Gerard... Gerard is after my husband's Opa (grandpa on his mother's side), and Declan doesn't have a meaning... At least, that's what the baby naming website said... Devlin, on the other hand, means "son of the unfortunate one" Fits, yeah, but Declan is so much better! mrgreen

I'm naming my baby Aden. Maybe Aden William. William is Andrew's middle name.

I named my baby Evie Peace.
I know people whose first or middle names are virtues (i.e. Love, Joy, Hope, Patience) so I decided to name her after my favorite virtue--peace.

Well I wont know if I'm having a girl or boy until Oct.16th but we have picked out a name for a girl and a boy. For a boy we have Dominic Anthony and for a girl Chloe Ann.

Rebecca: Yeah, Andrew and I really love Irish names, too! That's why we chose Declan. It's the English spelling of Deaglan(?). We also looked at the girl names Briley, Eithne (pronounced Enya), Kiara, and a bunch of others. We thought it would be especially cool because he's half Dutch, and I'm a quarter Irish. (Hence, first name Irish, middle name Dutch--after his Opa). mrgreen

My little one's name is Emlyn Denise...the first name is Welsh...her middle name was my fiance's Mom's middle name..she passed away last year from a long struggle with lung cancer.

I wanted to name my daughters something literary so we went with Scarlett Claire (Claire means bright).
Our next kid will either be Keiran Leon (Black Lion) or Madeline (to rhyme with mine) Esther. Madeline from the kids' books and Esther is my mother's middle name.
If we have twin boys though we'll name them Keiran Leon and Conan Blake--Black Lion and Silver Wolf hehe.

Somehow by #3 I wanted 3 names!
I was named after a hurricane. My parents could not come up with a name.the hospital did not allow them to take me home until I was named. The front page of the paper said "Hurrican Becky sweeps Florida." hence I was named Rebecca

My name is Heather which translates to a purple-is flower/shrub. Alas, I didn't get that name for the meaning. My dad's friend from work came up with it because every girl they knew with that name was "hot".
I plan on changing my name.
My boyfriend's name is Cole. I'm not sure how he was given that name. Could have been because it sounded nice to his parents. But that name translates to "cabbage farmer". Not so great of a translation.
We named our son Adonis. I looked around and picked that one out because it sounds nice and has a good meaning. Adonis is the name of a highly attractive Greek God of desire and manly good looks.
