Have you ever sat back, relaxed, and started reading one of your own stories for no other reason than you just... wanted to? Just for fun, just to enjoy a good story. Discuss.

tee hee i just did that yesterday!It was on a YYH fanfic that I have yet to post. I was bored and so I reread the first part to see if I still liked it and found some mistypes along the way.

I love reading my own work. We're supposed to be writing for ourselves after all and I think that if you don't like your own work then you have a problem.

Ya know, I didn't used to. But in the past year, I have come to read my own work for pleasure. Either my writing has improved, or I've lowered my standards of enjoyment.

I've found that sometimes I am the only person writing stories for a particular pairing or using a specific canon detail that interests me, so that's usually when I end up reading my own stuff just for fun.
