Slash is a homosexual pairing. Some people like these fics, some don't. Discuss.

I don't mind slash at all so long as it is set up like any other relationship and not just all about "hey your hot" "I'm not gay but suddenly just because you say so I will be" *gag*

I love slash, love shonen ai, and I love staight up yaoi. whee
However, there is a way to do it, and a way not to do it- like anything else in writing I suppose.
I hate it when writers turn teen male characters into nothing more than giggly eek 12 year old girls evil Who suddenly decide to bang stare because... they both have penises? gonk
Usually the characters these authors pick... are the most masculine they could have chosen from the entire cast of characters. Sometimes... it is kinda hilarious to be quite honest- but I gotta be in the mood.

I move on straight to the headdesk, haha.

Actually, that's what allot of hetero-"romance" fics tend to be as well. Boy sees girl, decides she's hot, girl is so flattered that they must ******** like bunnies for five chapters before the author remembers they were trying to have a plot in there somewhere.
Its so damn difficult to find "romance" fan fiction that has actual romance and not just mindless sex. This happens in both slash and hetero fics and is not limited to only one or the other.
On the subject of slash specifically, I agree with what Katsuya Jyonouchi said. They change their characters so dramatically that they're not even who they were supposed to be anymore. Instead of a relationship between men, the author turns them both into flat-chested chicks with dicks. What is the point of writing about your chosen characters if you're not going to write their characters!?

Yes I know dear, but I was not referring to anything but slash then. To be more general: I don't like ANY romance like that. I don't much like romance stories period, but that's another topic... Give me intelligent conversation and I will give you my attention.
