3rd person for me all the way. I can't stand second person and I never really cared for 1st. 1st is for daydreams in my opinion lol

I normally write in 3rd or 1st, I don't normally write in 2nd. I do every now and then, but eeh. It's not so great. I think 3rd would be best for me.

I think 1st person limits things way to much cause you can only view things from one perspective, that of the main character, but in 3rd you can jump around and so the reader understands more. I suppose 1st is good for mysteries and stuff in that regard.

A-hah!, but there's always the limited 3rd person POV where you write in 3rd person, but only follow the perspective of a single character! That's the one I like best and am now using consistently. It's fun to play with the character's perceptions of each other. They're always misinterpreting or missing the significance of things.
1st person... don't like it. It feels like I'm the one actually in the story rather than the character. It's too weird to read when the character does something that I completely disagree with.

Everyone was written "You/some character" and I just think its a way of getting around author insertion myself.

I prefer to write in first person when I really know the character. Nothing ruins a first person story like not knowing the character you're writing as. Third person is easier when I don't know the character as well. Like when I know what the character would do but not what they think or feel.
