So...this has nothing to do with anything...but I wanted to just let everyone know that I'm having the night from HELL tonight...
All day long, I couldn't get ANY sleep because, guess what? My PHONE kept ringing! Everyone on this EARTH knows that I work at night, and I sleep during the day...and yet...
It's gotten to the point where I'm having to tell people, "LOOK! If you THINK it's an acceptable time to call me? IT ISN'T!"
Woke up feeling sicker than ever. As most of you know, I had surgery about a month ago...Being down with the surgery s**t make my already horrible immune system completely nonexistent, and I caught a cold. JOY. I cannot seem to get RID of this cold, however. And now it appears as though I may have the flu as well...
So I go into work, nauseous, tired, my back hurt, and I had a painful migraine...
Oh, except that while pulling out of my driveway, I ran over a cement brick that had been left right there by the road. My tire made a very unpleasant sound and my car is driving a bit funny...I hope to hell I don't have to get a new tire, or I'm even more ******** than usual.
Anyway, I got to work and you will NEVER believe it! We had no WATER! None. At all. In the whole hotel.
So...an hour later, I still hadn't even STARTED my night reports or gotten ANY work done, because I had to wander all over the place with the water guys, trying to help them out. Oh it was WONDERFUL. Someone had put the chain lock on the door to our laundry room, and I couldn't get it OFF again. So I had to crawl UNDER the desk to get back and forth around the place. I tried to let them in the closet where the water meter was, and the door wouldn't unlock. It was stuck.
When I FINALLY got to work on my reports, the system crashed...I spent 45 minutes on the phone with the tech support company (and about all but FIVE of those minutes were spent on hold!)
Oh, and THEN the water guys came back out front and said "We can't fix this without your maintenance guy here". So I called him...and he wouldn't answer his phone. So I called my boss...who told me to call the maintenance guy...So I called him again...and STILL no answer.
By this point, the water guys gave me dirty looks and said "Well we can't do anything more without him here".
GREAT.
I'm having a fantastic evening...

I sowwy Lizzie love. sad
I think they should have told you that before having you run around the hotel with them. Kinda sounds like they should tell someone that BEFORE they start even looking at it so that they have time to call maintenance in.
And we've both established that I don't like y'alls boss... stressed
As for the phone thing... People just don't get the nocturnal lifestyle. sweatdrop

Well maybe not, but they could still have the common courtesy to not BOTHER me when they know I'm sleeping. If I called them at 4 a.m., most of them would FREAK...Same goes for me, except my four a.m. is more like 4 PM.
Boss = whore.
Yeah, but the problem is that the maintenance man won't answer his phone. He's a real loser. He like, never comes to work. Half the stuff in the place is falling apart and he won't fix it because he's just too damn lazy...When he DOES come in, all he does is b***h about how we're wasting his time...
So I can pretty much tell you that what happened is he saw the caller ID and didn't want to answer the hotel...
