I don't think I ever actually thought he was a girl per se, but I was very confused for a while. Actually I still kind of am.

When I first saw him (I watched the regular anime first, Brotherhood anime second, and now I'm reading the manga) I couldn't decide whether he was a girl or boy. I knew that anime/manga sometimes had girly-guys, but I had to ask my friend (who had known FMA a lot longer than me) whether the person with the skort, half-top, and long green hair was a girl or boy and who (s)he was.

eek I also originally thought he/she/it was a girl. I think he/she/it is played by a woman VA too.

I thought he was a girl until I heard Ed call him a guy in episode 24 or 25.

I always thought Envys was a girl til my friend me watch this like ep or soemthing saying that it was Edwards other brother then i was O.O. omg now i cantlook at envy the same way again

Remember Happy Times When i first saw him i thought he was a girl xD Tehn the manga kept saying "him" or "he" rofl (AWESOME SIGNITURE!!!) And yeah lol at first I thought he was a girl but his chest was way too flat and plus people were saying he instead of she. so i kinda figured it out lol.

I seriously thought Envy was a girl because of the shirt he wore,it showed the stomach like a regular girl would.I got surprised when I found out Envy was a boy xD

I always used to think Envy was a girl too. (It always confused me so much that sometimes I couldn't enjoy my FMA episodes with her/him in it.) Then, well, the truth, yeah...I'm just glad Envy doesn't flirt with Ed, well too much, that is...
