So, as you all might have noticed, we've slowed down to almost a standstill. There are a few topics that need to be addressed, and soon, if we're to keep this place from biting it prematurely.

1. Is everyone okay with this?

Ex left me in charge when he left. No, I haven't seen him around, like, at all. So, my question is, is everyone okay with me stepping in and acting as admin until he returns or does someone have reservations about it? If you do, don't be afraid to speak up. PM me to discuss if you don't want anyone to see you, I don't mind.

2. Weyrling Lessons

Everyone has these shiny new dragons, but weyrlinghood is hardly complete without lessons. Several ideas were presented to me, and I'm curious about the consensus until our Weyrlingmaster turns up.

-----a) We have RPs with lessons/prompts for the weyrlings to respond to. This will mostly be just a participation thing, an activity check and be more of a focus on singular development and reactions to the Weyrlingmaster

-----b) A specific task (ex: oiling your dragon's hide, feeding your dragon, the first flight) is assigned that the weyrlings will all have to achieve via RPs outside of class. This is less like lessons and be less formal while allowing you to RP with your fellow weyrlings. The disadvantage to these is that they might take a little while longer and the clear line of where everyone is in development might be a little mangled. UNLESS the Weyrlingmaster/lessonholder also included specifics as to that in the assignment.

3. Plot

What happened at the Gather? What's going to happen to the Weyr? Well, I know the answer, and the plot will be interesting... once we've started it. So, my question is: do you guys want to start this baby or do you want to wait.

4. Questions, Comments, Concerns?

Post here or PM me, I don't mind.

I'd like to see things start moving again, and I'm fine with either option for lessons. Personally I think the second is more flexible for everyone's schedules, and it appeals to me more - I wouldn't have a problem with the first, though.

Edit: Oh yes, plot please.

1. I'm fine with it.

2. I'm leaning towards B. more. That way, if some people complete their lessons before the others, they wont have to sit around longer and wait for everyone else to catch up.

3. HAH--Yes please. <3

4. None, really.

Well Im all for things moving again and I dont have any issues with you stpping up and taking charge! ^^

I sort of prefer the second option for the weyrling lessons as it allows everyone a little more time if their really busy with other things. But I dont mind really either way!

oh oh oh plot!!! gimme gimme gimme!!!

Randieh, I love you! YES!! Give it your all! And let me know if there's any way at all I can help.

To be honest both ideas for weyrling lessons sound great. You could make it an option for each individual weyrling - that way people with busy schedules can pick one that's better for them. ^^

1. I think you stepping in and acting as admin until (if) Ex returns is a good plan. I think you'd do a great job.

2. Plan b for weyrling lessons sounds good. It'll allow for more interaction between them all. What are we doing about the senior weyrlings? Same thing?

3. Let's get moving. I don't have a tonne of time now that school's finally started so I'd like to see the plot get going.

More activity would be great. Granted I can't post as much these days. I don't mind how weyrling lessons go as none of my characters are weyrlings right now. Getting the plot would be nice too.

1. I'm all for you stepping in while Ex is gone

2. I like the B idea better, not that my opinion counts as I don't actually have a weyrling.

3. I can has plot? 8D

I'm good with whatever. Since I'm not here that much anymore, though, I doubt my opinion is really needed. *shuffles off*

Incorrect, Shade, you're opinion is much loved, despite activity levels. :3

If no one has heard from Ex for a while, it would probably be good for you step in for a while. Does anyone know him in RL who could get an update?

And I'm still around, Randieh, I just haven't had anything to post for the weyrlingmaster since lessons hadn't started yet. When I last asked, I was told to wait for Ex to come back, but if we're moving on to that now, I just need to know what the plan is.

The first option for the lessons seems like it would be the most organized, but I agree with what others have said about the second being easier to work everyone's schedules around. Maybe we could do some sort of mix? Would it be too complicated to have a main lesson thread which people participate in if they have time (and we assume that everyone was present unless they are playing hooky in-character or something X3 ), then have outside RPs where the all the weyrlings complete the task or practice what they were taught?

Go figure that I just returned The Dragonlovers Guide to Pern. Maybe I'll pick it up again when I go to the library today.

I'm ready to move on with the plot if everyone else is. Plot is good. ^^

The only snag for me is that I'll have a short leave of absence in about a week, during which time I'll be making a drastic shift in timezones.

Glad to see you about, Il.

That might work. O:

Where're you moving to, if I can be nosy ( YES I KNOW THIS IS NOT THE GENERAL CHAT THREAD )< )

I have 1/3rd of the plot posts done that I need to do. I'll be posting it tomorrow sometime, if I'm not drowning in homeworks.

Randi, I'd love it if you stepped up. =D Ex did leave you in charge, after all, so I see no reason for you not to fulfill all of his duties until he returns.

I would like either form of Weyrling lessons.

I R WANT PLOT.
