I was surprised when going through the topic's and not one of them had a discussion on Hojo, I mean he's a super important character...So what do you think of him? Me personally: He's a nutter bar who should not be legal to be alive...He's the reason for Sephiroth...

He's pretty fail. Oddly, I actually kinda liked him in Crisis Core, though.

Aughhhh, I just hate him. He's the reason for most of the problems in VII, really, the mako reactors excepted... That's kind of all I have to say on the subject; he's just a jerk. He's also ugly, but that would be a bad reason not to like him if he weren't also a jerk.
You know what I just realized, though? Why does Sephiorth bear no resemblance whatsoever to either of his parents? Did Jenova screw him up that badly?

He's a video game character; that's a totally good reason not to like him. xD What's the point of a video game, which is really nothing more than a fantasy, having ugly characters, unless they're also evil and ugly? xD
Lol, Sephiroth and Jenova have the same hair. xD

well Hojo aint all that bad.. i mean he created a number of really cool villians and helped in creating a cooler looking version of Vincent. But he's still crazy....

Crazy? Yes. Villian? Yes. Hated? Yes.
Bad Character? No.
Hojo is insane, and also brilliant. If I were an evil mad scientist, he would be my idol. Hojo's personality and plans were so twisted, but despite that, I found myself believing everything he said. Definitely the best scientist character I've seen in a game to date.
And I'll horribly mutate those who disagree twisted

The irony is that even though Sephiroth hates his guts out, Hojo is his father.
