I honestly don't think Sirius Black is really truly dead. I honestly think he is only trapped behind the veil. In the 7th book I think Harry, thinking he has nothing to lose since Hermionie, Ron, and Ginny were killed by Voldermort, will go back to the Department of Mysteries and actually go into the veil and find Sirius trapped in some sort of enchanted sleep. He will bring him back and revive him somehow and then Sirius will have a duel with Snape and, because of a moment's hesitation out of pity, get killed by Snape. Big no-no for Snape. Harry will go into a rage and bombard Snape with Avada Kadabra curses and will kill Snape.

Seriously, sir, Sirius is certainly seriously, sincerely dead. Seriously.

My friend, a real Sirius lover, really convinced me that he wasn't dead. However, with no mention of him in book 6, I think he is.

I don't think he's dead b/c he went through that curtain, and that curtain could have been a portal to another demension. And come on, a stunning spell and a nudge could not kill Sirius Black.
LONG LIVE SIRIUS DAMMIT!

I really, sincerely, DESPERATELY want Sirius back, but I just can't bring myself to believe he'll come back. There was no mention of him in the sixth book, and I think it's unlikely he'll be in the seventh, unless it's a memory of him, or he is seen as a ghost like Cedric, Lily, James, and Frank. But, Sirius Black is remembered fondly by all (I think all) of us.

I'm sorry to say that I do not agree with any part of your theory.

Can we please put our thinking caps on?
J.K. Rowling cried after writing the death, so because of that main reason, I do not think that she is bringing anyone back from the dead. Plus, J.K. Rowling spent lots of well earned money publishing that book, so you're saying that she did it for nothing and that Sirius really isn't dead, and that was just some waste of paper?
Furthermore, how can he suddenly come back alive? Okay, if he had been alive after he fell through the veil.. think about it. He's been back their since June of Harry's fifth year. He would have like.. died anyway.

I believe that it has been stated by J.K. Rowling in an interview herself that Sirius is indeed- dead. His death will be justified in the last book, but I don't think he'll be rising from the dead either.
...Rather scary idea, that.
