I would like to star own but im suffering from idea block can any one point me in the right direction?

What direction do you wan this to go? You could have a ghost pirate kind of thing like the first pirates of the caribean. You could have a brand new shi pand old ship, a ship on a made of world, a historical pirate ship, multiple ships all going after the same goal. One ship trying to get one thing.
Could be like the Count of Monte Cristo yet in a sort of priate fashion. Man out to get revenge with the help of his crew on others who wronged him and threw him away into the cold depths of prison which he cleverly escapes out of. Finds treasure bassed on knowledge give to him by another prisoner?
