Now... to roll... the guild's ground-breaking die... *hurls the thing skyward*

Edit: Ground-shattering die... Yikes! eek

(I am dead. I am dead. I am dead.)

In seconds flat, Jolzy zapped me, fried me and served me on a plate. I was toast, more than toast. I was super toast. At least I taste good though. Don't forget the sauce.

I know I'm coughing
I believe in something
I don't want to remember falling
For their lies

So the rumors were true, I thought to myself. The most celebrated gladiators of the battledome had congregated in one area, the Hall of Fame, to do battle. Here I stood, an outsider looking in on one of the most well-respected fighting establishments of the modern world.

As the first battle christened the new battledome with the fresh blood of the fallen, I felt myself moved by some larger guiding force. I could not stand idly by and wait for my application to be processed, or my paperwork to be filled out; this was a golden opportunity, and I could not allow it to slip through my fingers. Before I knew it, I had bounded over boundaries, and I was standing in a place both completely new and nostalgically familiar; the challenger's end of the Hall of Legends arena.

I straightened out the lapels of my overcoat and slipped my hands back into my pockets. With my goggles and headband, I looked like a drifter to all the world. It did not take my opponent long to come into view; her appearance stood in stark contrast to my own. Where I looked unkempt, she was neat and orderly, clad in a clean skipper's uniform. And yet, it was almost a comical juxtaposition, for I was a man living in vagrant shadows, while she, in her uniform, appeared quite beast-like, bearing the distinctive hind legs of a faun. This would be an interesting battle.

Then came the signal for the fight to begin. I did not waste any time; in a flash, I took off for my opponent, and I closed the distance with incredible speed. My opponent was caught flat-footed; all of her uniformed glory could not save her from my focused fury, for I had something to prove.

With one swift motion, I drew my Nano-C phase blade from its holster and turned it on; the blue sword shot forth, and I swung at my enemy. She dodged the first two swipes with clumsily calculated maneuvers, but on the third attack, I caught her square across the chest. She stumbled backwards and fell. I stood, looming over her, and held my weapon to her neck. The match was won.

I turned off my device and walked away. As the established authority, my foe had been powerful... but for me, the newcomer, there was more at stake. Thanks to my focus, my fighting prowess, and a few very lucky occurences, I had proven to the Battledome Hall of Legends that I was a force to be reckoned with...User Image

"So we fight..."

Another Battledome to fight in. It called for a celebration. I now donned a new outfit made just for the occasion; a black and red leather suit that clung tightly to the skin, leaving little to the imagination of others. I had also switched from my favorite long black gloves to a shorter pair and now, twelve of the thirteen scars on my right arm were visible. I had been tempted to tie my hair in a braid as well, but I decided against it the last minute.

Already the new Battledome carried the scent of blood, a scent which aroused the warrior instinct within me. With a feral grin, I drew the Dark Excalibur, examining it for damage and testing the blade. Satisfied, I drew the Vampire Slayer and did the same. Both weapons were in pristine condition, as was proper. Satisfied, I turned to face my opponent.

"It's you." I found myself saying, recognizing the familiar face with ease, but then, I thought with a wry grin, that most, if not all of those here would be those I knew. With the Dark Excalibur in my left hand and the Vampire Slayer in my right, I took an offensive stance and waited for Chris to prepare himself. He did little more than take his hands out of his pocket.

I took advantage of that and lunged, bringing the Dark Excalibur down from above, and slashing horizantally with the Vampire Slayer, forming a cross of sorts. Stepping to the side to dodge the Dark Excalibur, he swiftly drew his plasma blade and struck at the Vampire Slayer. The blades clashed for a mere moment, before his blade cut through the steel of the Slayer. The blade clattered to the ground and I was left grasping the hilt.

Not wanting to see whether his blade would have the same effect on my Dark Excalibur, I dropped to my knees and raised my arm in the universal sign of surrender. He nodded in acceptance, though he kept his blade out. I hastily rose to my feet and sheathed the Dark Excalibur. Satisfied, he put away his blade and left the Battledome. I watched him for a moment, before retrieving the broken blade of the Vampire Slayer; I would need to have that repaired.

(First, thanks for the invite, TomtaJolz!)

An ominous rattle rends the silence of the arena...

"Sweet!" I say, strolling into the new guild battledome. I break into a smile, recognizing the current challenger. "Nice to see you here, Alnette."

She returns the smile, slipping easily into her battle stance, swords at ready to attack. Still togged in my weekend surfer outfit, I steady my grip on my board and raise it to begin the battle.

Alnette moves, so quickly I can barely track her movements to react. Instinct, and perhaps luck enables me to block her first blow. I push, hard. She stumbles back for a mere instant, but this gives me the time and space to leap on the surfboard. The flames catch and I maneuver away to gain height.

I hover for a moment high above my opponent, then enter into a smooth dive towards her. The impact of my board elicits a surprised "Ooof!" from Alnette as she falls back, swords clattering out of her loosened grip to the floor.

I hop off my board, bowing to the now unconscious figure. "Thank you for my first victory here."

I wait for my next opponent.

"Another round, Fion?" (The dice hate me here. xD)

I had not yet had the time to get the Vampire Slayer reforged, so I entered the Battledome with one swordbelt empty. I sighed slightly, missing the newer blade, though I was glad it was that blade which had been broken instead of the Dark Excalibur.

My gaze shifted to my opponent. Despite Fion's surfer outfit, she proved to be extremely skilled. I knew better than to underestimate her like I did last time, after all, I disliked losing. I drew my blade and nodded to her. Without giving her another warning, I lunged at her.

Her surfboard proved to be made of sterner stuff than it appeared to be. She raised it up to block a blow and I was stunned to find that the Dark Excalibur had not cut through it. I dropped my arm momentarily, the tip of the blade touching the ground.

Fion took advantage of that time and leapt onto her surfboard and hovered out of my reach. I tensed, preparing for the blow of a dive, but it never came. I was slightly confused and wondering what she had had planned, when she landed and snuck behind me, holding the surfboard.

Whack! The surfboard came down hard on my head and I went down like a sack of meal, unconscious. Fion was declared and she left the Battledome happy. I was left to await my next opponent as soon as I regained consciousness.

@ Next poster- "Well, shall we?" I held only the Dark Excalibur as I looked at my opponent.

-Enters with old Battlestar Galactica theme playing.- "I have arrived."

I walked into the new TomtaJolz version of Battledome, and looked around. Here the ring was a bit smaller, and there was no roaring crowd, only the Battledome regulars and veterans. Alnette would be my first opponent to fight me. She smiled and I saluted her. Alnette and I had fought in the arena for as long as anyone could remember. An appropriate face-off for the Golden Gladiator's first entrance into the new arena.

I charged at Alnette, my pistol firing away at her and Perseverance raised to strike. Alnette came at me, zig zagging at a high speed to avoid my rounds. Alnette made the first strike and my gun was lopped in half by Dark Excalibur. This would be a close combat battle. I turned and swung Perseverance Alnette ducked and made another pass at me. I was pushed back a bit, but I can take a lot of punishment. Alnette made another lunge, but I parried with the handle of my weapon and pushed her back. I took another swing, and Alnette wasn't fast enough to dodge this time. Time slowed for a second as Perseverance made contact with Alnette's side, causing massive unnatural ripples in her body. Time went back to normal, and Alnette went tumbling across the dirt floor and into the wall, putting some cracks into it. I saluted Alnette again for the good fight, and bowed to the clapping regulars in the stands.

"Here puppy..."

I was in a very taunting mood, feeling my short losing streak was near an end. I gestured to Saint, smirking slightly as I watched him look at me. "Come here puppy." He snarled and I grinned; this was fun. "Aww... What's the matter? Are you scared I'll beat you?"

He howled before rushing towards me, obviously attempting to tear me to shreds where I stood. I couldn't have that happen, now could I?" I dodged his charge simply, by stepping to the side, and with a fluid motion of my hand, drew my Dark Excalibur.

"Now that's not how you behave," I mocked him as I slashed at him. He was quick, but he didn't dodge in time and his arm now bore a deep gash. He yelped in pain and backed away, trying to regain his composure before he attacked me again.

However, I wasn't going to let that happen. I lunged at him again, this time trying an upward slice. The blade caught him and launched him in the air, a stream of blood following. He hit the ground with a thud, alive, but in very bad shape.

I cleaned the blood and fur off of my blade and inspected it for damage. Satisfied, I awaited my next opponent, curious who it would be.

((Hello everyone! Thanks for the invite TomtaJolz))
"As ready as I ever am."

It seemed like ages since I first stumbled into the old battledome, kiki kitty parasol slung over my shoulder and fluff sitting on idly on my head, singing to myself and ignoring my surroundings. Back then I had wandered into the arena quite by accident, completely unaware that this would become like a strange second home. My poor sense of direction lead me to my first defeat, and my new addiction. Since then, I had lost my kiki parasol, I had enjoyed a few victories and suffered MANY embarrassing defeats and my fluff and I had both become more skilled fighters. Now I entered this new arena not only willingly but with eager anticipation for my first fight.

I looked over to see Facade looking as intimidating as ever. She had already fought a few battles in the new arena. I didn't know whether this gave me the advantage because she might be tired, or put me in a bad place cause she knew the grounds already.

She readied her dark excalibur and I prepared to block with my parasol. My fluff hopped around and began maneuvering behind her. She saw him though, and with a swift kick, sent him flying against the far wall. She lunged at me, and I only just dodged in time rolling away in the dirt. I returned to my feet and stumbled a bit. Grace is not one of my talents. She lunged at me again and Poof! I opened my umbrella in front of me. Excalibur ran ripped through my umbrella and as I had hoped, was sufficiently tangled in it to give me a few seconds.

I raised my hand in the air, and the amulet around my neck glowed. Out of nowhere water appeared and crashed into my opponent with stunning force. She was flung against the far wall and sufficiently knocked out. I sighed and sat down on the floor exhausted as I was declared victor.

"Excellent, my dear, now it's time for me to show you what I have in store for you."

I was feeling great, despite my losses. The Dark Excalibur gleamed brightly in the sunlight and I couldn't resist a grin. I was ready for a fight. Humming to myself, I strode into the Battledome, standing tall and proud.

Bonnie was certain of her victory, which would be her downfall. I lunged at her, but rather than attacking her, I cut her fluff right in two. With a twist of my body and a swing of my blade, I cut her umbrella in two. Startled she started to back away, but I wasn't finished yet.

I kicked her with enough force, and she hit the wall and slumped to the ground. She whimpered slightly, thinking I was going to finish her off, but instead, I sheathed my Dark Excalibur and walked away. She was confused, but she left the Battledome almost unscathed.

"If I win, will you turn good and become a Sentai?"

Uli rushed at Alnette, hoping for a victory, knowing that if she was on his team, the war against CU's empire would be a lot more easier than it currently was. Dark Excalibur clashed with his blade and Uli tried for a Pink Aerial, but was taken down with a cut by Dark Excalibur. As he laid on the ground, Alnette began to kick him across the arena, laughing as he sparked. Some Sentai he was, right now. Evil was winning! however, his resolve was strong! He would never give up.

"This place looks like it will be fun."

I stood just outside the new arena, looking at the shining walls with admiration. Callandor hummed in anticipation, looking forward to a duel. I placed a gentle hand on the pommel of the sa'angreal. "Soon."

I entered the arena, feeling a phantom kiss brush my lips as I did so, and an abrupt warming of the pendant at my throat. "Thanks, love." I muttered, looking up to see my opponent.

Bugger. The Sentai was across from me, humming something oddly peppy and looking as if he had just injected sugar into his bloodstream. He raised a hand, and loosed a pink energy bolt at me.

Shadow formed my shield, and the pink splashed against it like water on a rock.

The shades took him soon after.

"Ah, Lady Emma, it is good to see you again..."

Emma was always an excellent opponent to fight. I drew my Dark Excalibur, and she, drew Callandor. I lunged at her, slashing widely, but she trapped my blade with hers, disarming me with a clever flick of her wrist. A short fight and I bowed my head as a sign of surrender.

Silently, I awaited my next opponent.
