These are easy to make!

choose your favorite fabric
cut out a rectangle 8" (20.5cm) wide X 6" (15cm) long
and two pieces of 1/4" (~1cm) wide elastic 11.5" (31 cm) long

sew the top and bottom edges (the longer sides) with a 1/2" (1.25cm) hem
sew the sides with a 3/4" (2cm) hem -leave a pocket wide enough for the elastic-

slide the elastic through the pockets and sew together in a loop with a 1cm overlap
slide the sewn edge of the elastic so it's inside the pocket

Ta da! you have a pretty health mask!

~I'll make some here in a bit and post pics~

Edit: elastics' measurements were wrong - fixed

Now, let's make some masks for the babies (BJDs)!

all you have to do is divide the measurements by the scale
this means: SD = 1/3 scale so divide by 3.
The measurements are: 2.5" (really it's 2.333> but 2.5 is easier to measure and gives a decent hem) X 2"

MSD = 1/4 scale so divide by 4.
The measurements are: 2" X 1.5"

for these, we want to use elastic string or elastic thread and instead of sewing the ends of the elastic together, we make a small knot and instead of sliding it in after it's sewn, we lay the elastic in the pocket, then sew it down. The knot will sit behind the dollies' ear (preferably a bit toward the bottom of the ear so it catches nicely and stays in place)
