Bethan appeared with a pop, holding Chris' hand tightly, a photograph in the other hand. "Hey guys! Ava, the mayor of Coldice says congratulations on your new job, and Ms. Terry gave me this picture to show you!"
She held out the photo. "It was twins! The boy twin, Kyle, he's really tiny, but he's grown loads since he was born - I froze time a little outside the hospital."
Chris rolled his eyes at Mike, then raised an eyebrow questioningly as he saw Mike's face.
Netta rushed outside to congratulate Ava, pretty much the only people left inside were her, Becca, and the other candidate.Java let go of Ava, and reached into his jeans pocket, where there was a square bulge. Still there, he thought, thank goodness, Mum'd kill me if I lost it... Then he let go of the presentation box in his pocket and whispered to Ava.
"Do you think your fans could leave you alone long enough for you to come for a walk by the fountain?"

((EEEK!!! I'm so sorry!!))
Ava bent her head down to look closely at the picture. "Oh my goodness! They are adorable!" She made a mental note to be sure to call the Mayor of Coldice ASAP. She grinned at Harri and struggled to open the champagne. She smiled at Java and nodded. "Here, Bethan. Hold this for me?" She gave the bottle to her and then turned back to Java.
"Okay, I'm ready." She took his hand.

Harri said, "Ooh, I'll hold it for you Ava!" she did a vaudeville eyebrow waggle, and laughed, everyone laughing too. Everyone except Mike, who frowned, and Chris. "Dude, can I talk to you for a sec?" He asked. Harri shot him an 'You-dare,-and-I-will-eatchu.' look.

Java led Ava round to the other side of the fountain, so that they were pretty much surrounded by the wood, and completely out of site of the rest of the school.
He gestured for her to sit down next to him, and started fumbling in his pocket.
"Umm, Ava..."
Chris nodded, ignoring Harri's look. "Sure, can you help me with Bethan's bags out of the van?"

"Yes, Java?" Ava smiled happily up at him as she sat down. She watched him fumble with his pocket. She was completely clueless to the fact that something might actually be in there.

Java grinned, when he realised that he should probably get down on one knee. "Shut your eyes" he said, and then checked to make sure her eyes were closed.
Pulling the box out of his pocket, he knelt down and held it, open, behind his back with one hand. With the other, he took her hand.
"Okay, open your eyes."

(( I'm so sorry for being MIA. -gonk- )) Watching the whole scene unfold was the flamer, Nayt. It was, to him, odd to see someone show care and love for another, then again Nayt had never experienced either emotion, or ever had it shown to him. His one yellow eye shone like gold in the sun as he watched Java. " Hmph... This... should be interesting..." he said, quiet so only he could hear his own voice, which was a bit raspy to be honest. His once spiked, and dyed, blue hair was once again a deep red, as if the fury of a thousands suns burned within it. Underneath him was burnt grass, which was due in part to him not wearing shoes outside, and thankfully he did wear them inside, not wanting to BURN the one place where he could stay, yet still feel out of touch with everything. Ava, unlike Java, seemed completely calm during this whole thing, as he would have expected her to be. A low growl came from his throat as the buzzing of an insect plagued his ears with the low sound, forcing him to grab it in his hand, and burn it, smirking as he did so. Ava giggled and closed her eyes. She nodded when she was allowed to open her eyes. Playfully, she opened one eye slowly. When she saw Java kneeling in front of her, both of her eyes grew wide and she couldn't close her mouth. Suddenly, she felt like she was going to throw up from being so nervous. "Java...?"

Annita was on the lawn. Her long silver hair was down but a part of it was up and tied with a yellow ribbon. Yellow had always been her favorite color. The color of sunshine! She thought happily. Her perfect white teeth formed a smile. She was wearing a yellow polo with a white tank top underneath and a grey skirt. Her bronze eyes looked around and spotted Nayt. She didn't know him well. She didn't even know if she had ever talked to him. All she could think about was how her birthday would be soon. Her 16th. She skipped past Nayt and waved at him, a grin on her pretty face.

One yellow eye continued to scan, the other one long gone from his skull, now nothing more than an empty hole, with a patch over it. Yawning a bit, the pessimistic flamer rolled his eye, noticing Annita skip past him, happy and seemingly carefree. Raising a hand and spelling out " Hi..." with a fire he had in his hands. He remember hearing from someone that Annita's birthday was coming up. Annita nodded back at him and then continued to skip into the school. She felt static flow through her hands. She felt as though if she touched someone she would probably electricute them. She wondered what do to. Maybe practice some gymnastics? That sounded good. Also, she had to fix her laptop. That would take about 1 minute or so. She walked to her room, wondering where Nick was. She hadn't seen him lately. She shrugged it off.

Mike nodded seriously, glancing at Harri, who was glaring at him.
"Go on, I'm not your babysitter." she snapped, and turned away, ignoring the poor boy. "Ah, where is our headmistress? I bet Java's gonna be holding onto her for a while - so let's get this party started!" she laughed, uncorked the bottle and poured it into glasses, passing it to everyone but the boys, grinning at everyone and flirting with some students.
Mike looked glum as he followed Chris to the driveway.
"It's Harri, dude." He said, chewing his fingers. "I'm totally worried about her." he sighed, and looked his friend in the eyes. "You realise she's sloshed, right? Right now, she must have had at least 3 bottles of rice wine already. Ugh!" he cried in frustration, kicking a nearby bush.

Seeing Ava's nervousness, Java grinned. "Hey, I'm supposed to be the one that's nervous. See, I had this speech all prepared about how you're the most amazing girl I've ever met, and how I just want to stay with you for the rest of my life... but you distracted me, by looking all freaked. So, here's the thing: I love you, will you marry me?"
Chris frowned. "Dude, don't take it out on the bushes!" he burst into flame. "Go on, soak me. Give it your best shot. Take it all out. Then we'll talk."
