So, a while back, and recently so, I have worked/have been working with sigils.
The reason I am creating this post though, is to ask everyone else their stance on the subject.
I primarily use the method that Chaos Magick suggests, with a few alterations, and different levels and forms of energy.
So, if you're reading this and would like to oblige me with some personal input, here are a few various questions.
Do you have a particular school of magick you choose to work with sigils from, or do you work with them at all?
Do you engage in a pre-sigil creation ceremony or meditation, or post for that matter?
Is there a reason you choose sigils when you do, or is it mostly a personal fondness in opposition to other uses of energy?
Any answers, or personal points anyone would choose to share, will be highly appreciated. 3nodding

I focus my energy on the symbol firstly with the intent of storing my energy. Next, I focus on the intent of the symbol with emotive amplification. Lastly, I have an odd quirk of keeping the sigil beneath my pillow or even inside the pillow case, having already passed the intent to store energy, with the belief that it catches a ton of excess energy while I'm off for the night. I usually choose to use sigils rather than other methods when I want to continuously increase the strength of my intent, or when I want the instructions to be carried out independant of my focus.

I just read your newer entry about shells, and I had to suggest maybe using those shells for writing sigils.

That's a pretty fantastic idea, unfortunately I would need to designate a very definite purpose because it is a very long process getting them grinded down appropriately. The last ones I had done took me about 2 days or so of solid work as to not blemish the shell as it get's rather fragile once you grind the stone away (don't know if it's actually stone, but yeah). Of course I used only rocks and sand with those ones because I wanted to do it as naturally as possible, though I might pick up a file and sandpaper for these ones.
If anyone wants, I might even post a picture by picture tutorial. Just an idea.

Which is why I tend to use them on charm bags I have made for luck and protection that I created with the purpose of gifting it to someone.
