Here's the information on the weekly avatar contest that will be held every Sunday and will last for one week. If anyone has any ideas that they think might make this run smoother then feel free to say so.
The entry fee (for prize money and for the work involved) will be 200g, and there will be up to 10 contestants per week. However, if it turns out that there are like, 20 people trying to join per week (which is unlikely seeing as only about 7 people even post in here D: ) then we'll figure out a way to accommodate the crowd. I, or a member of my crew, will host the contest.
The theme of the contest will be announced not only in my weekly announcement, but also on the designated avatar contest thread, every Sunday.
Since our guild has few active members and they're very busy, our avatar contests last two weeks. The first week will be for accepting contestants and will be announced in the weekly announcement every Monday. The second week is for voting and will start at the end of the first week. These weeks start and end on Mondays because that's when I can actually get to everything.
The prizes:
700g for 1st place
500g for 2nd place
300g for 3rd place
Entries will be accepted on a first come, first served basis. However, everyone deserves a chance to participate so that will be taken into consideration.
A thread for the avatar contest theme will be posted every Sunday morning, when entries start. If you want to enter the contest then PM me or a delegated member of my crew saying you want to join with the outfit on your avatar.
Tek-tek avatars will not be accepted.
Leave the outfit on until you get a message from the host saying you have/haven't been accepted; by then they will have saved your image and put it on the first post of the contest thread along with the other participants. Then you can change your avatar however you like.
If you have been accepted, you MUST start the trade with the host as soon as possible; if you haven't sent the 200g by the Wednesday you are disqualified, and if you consistently fail to initiate the trade then you will be banned from participating.
There is a "Hall of Fame" post including past winners and the themes of their contest. Check it out if you want to see all of the awesome avi's ^_^
