Taking his Masamune in hand, I, Sephiroth, looked over the cliff to see the destruction I have caused. Of course, I was commanded by none other than Chaos to destroy this very city, but I didn't need his command to have any interest in doing this. I would have loved to destroyed in according to my own wishes and desires.

This city, Midgar, caused me nothing but grief since I was a 1st class soldier many years ago. It was my destiny to destroy this very place. After Midgar's destruction, next would be the world.

Somehow, with Chaos and Cosmos in existence, other worlds and other characters formed and merged into this one world. All the cities, all the lands, all the special places, united and came into one. This world was massive. This world of Gaia, our planet. These separate worlds once had their own names. There were worlds known as Ivalice, Spira, Gaia, Terra, and some others, but now it all formed into our one massive world, Gaia.

This one united and merged world will be destroyed. Chaos wants to destroy this world, but he does not know that I'm secretly working on destroying this world myself. I take orders from him, but I only follow through with his orders because of my own selfish goals.

I will find the black materia and use it, destroying my enemies, Cloud and his crew, and anyone else in my path. The new people from other planets, they will all perish by my hands. My mother, Jenova will be proud. This is my goal, and this is what I must do.

Even those who are approaching me now cannot stop me. I will triumpth! I will succeed!
