In a land far away, yet so similar to Earth, hidden gifts are beginning to awaken.
Now the children and teenagers that have these gifts are looked down upon in society and rumor has it that the government is hunting them down. They wish to either kill them, make them into weapons to use against the others nations, or experiment on them so that they can find a way to replicate them in mass productions.
But as these gifts are emerging so is a small rebellion, but how can you have a rebellion, when some of the children's gifts are near useless?
(Yes it seems to be a strange mixture of X-men and Watchmen (or whatever that movie was called that I didn't see))

Name: Lanesha
Age: 12
Gift: She's like a human calculator. Math comes very easily to her. She can sold for three or four variables at once in her head and even do complicated calculus in her head without paper.
Side: neutral
Biography: Lanesha is a shy girl, but she loves to be helpful. Her favorite subject is math, even though she already has a college degree in math already. Lanesha comes from what used to be the stereotypical "everyday" home. Her mom is a stay at home mom, her dad works in an office in town and she is an only child with a knack for math. Name: Kaido
Age: 17
Gift: He can turn into a ghost, unseen by anyone and able to travel through walls, but he can only be that way for about 2 minutes, and even then it's sketchy.
Side: Rebellion
Biography: Kaido is an orphan growing up on his own. He found his powers early on and immediatly began learning how to be a theif. Information is his specialty, but gold and anything else is fine. After joining the rebellion he learned to do basic hacking into computer systems and other things about technology.~~~ Profile: Cyanide flavored skittles Name: Regie Age: 17 Appearance:  Gift: Creates a crippling sense of guilt and remorse in a single target. Needs eye contact. Looses control of power on occasions. Side: government Biography: Captured off the streets by the government at a young age Regie quickly learned to use his power to his advantage. At first the government wanted to run several painful tests on Regie to discover what his power was. But After several members of the research team committed suicide after spending too much time around Regie the government enlisted him as a member. Quickly climbing the ranks through the government by creating fear and guild in his opposition he is now a prominent member in the government aiming for the top.

Age: 15

Gift: Mind reader. Can not turn power off. is overwhelemd in large crowds.

Biography: Mo keeps to himself a lot of the time if he is around one or two people he can hear there thoughts but they somtimes overlap if he is in a group of five or more he cannot think stright with so many thoughts going through his head at once.~~~

Name: Russel (he likes Rusty but people sometimes just call him Russ)
Age: 15
Appearance:
Gift: Able to "influence" animals. His mind leaves his body and enters the animal's body for full comtrol that lasts about half an hour. The connection works on most animals but works only for about 100 ft. and it leaves his body vulnerable.
Side: Neutral but thinking about joining the rebellion
Biography: Russel had a great life until he came home one day to find the apartment door slightly opened. Fear struck his heart as he opened the door to find his parent murdered. The government had found out about Russel's power and was looking for him. His parents refused to give their only child to the government that had evil intentions for his power. Ever since then, Russ knew that the government was searching for him so running was the only alternative left. It's been 4 years and he's managed to elude the government thanks to his tendency to never stay in one place longer than a week and keeping his life a secret but it seems that his running streak may soon end.~~~ Profile: OceanSlate Name: Jaela Khing (known as "Raven" by those at the lab/school) Age: Fifteen Appearance:  Gift: Is able to focus the eyes onto far-away objects and get a clear, detailed view of it. (Comparative to looking into a camera and being able to zoom in and out.) Side: Government Biography: Her parents sold her off to the government early in her life; less than a year after they found out their daughter had a "gift." (There had been advertisements and rewards posted for gifted people by the government.) She didn't mind though after a while. She grew up fairly normal: going to school, meeting new friends, healthy childhood (arguably better than what she would have in her nearly-at-poverty-level, previous life). Except, now, she went through some vigorous testing once or twice every two months. However, she did lose a lot of her flamboyant, spontaneous personality she had at a young age. Now, she's more reserved and has a hard time trusting people. Overall, though, she's a hard-working, generally sweet and innocent child who's not easily fooled nor tempted, aims for the objective viewpoint, and loves junk food to the point of no return.

Regie sat at a table in an outdoor cafe twirling a pen between his fingers. "this is a waste" he mumbled to himself. They had him watching some girl who's only power as are as the government could tell was being good at math. "might not even be a gift." He grumbled

Lanesha sighed as she let her hand twitch. She watched as the signs she made with her left hand. Sign language numbers, pokes in the air, sign language numbers and then her hand clenched. As the muscles in her hand relaxed and her hand opened she saw the answer to her complicated equation. She turned her attention away from her complicated math problem and back to the girl she was with. She was helping her friend with her math homework. They were in a cafe she'ld only walked past a few times, but there was a guy behind her that just kept staring at her. She couldn't help, but peek back at him from time to time, but everytime she did, she got this overwhelming sense of guilt,
Kaido muttered to himself about stupid teachers or something and he disappeared in detention and walked through the room, knocking a few papers off of the teacher's desk in the process. "Stupid school," he muttered adding a few explicitive words into his next string of complaints. He walked off his school campus and trudged along the main street, his hands in his pockets as he kept muddering to himself.

A waitress walked to Regies table and handed him his bill. Regie smirked and locked eyes with the waitress. Her expression changed from shock to horror as she ran away from the table knocking over another waitress and her tray. Moments later several people screamed and pointed to the roof of the cafe where the waitress was standing. She leaned over the edge and plummeted hitting the ground with a sickly splat and several loud snaps. Regie snickered slightly and barley stopped himself from laughing aloud.

At the sound of screaming Lanesha turned to see a waitress on the top of the building. She watched as the lady let herself just fall. Unable to stop herself, she felt her left hand making signs. Turning away to hide before the lady fell she covered her ears in a prayer that she wouldn't hear the lady's sickening death, but it didn't help, because she'ld already calculated to the exact second the body would hit the ground and her mind told her everything that happened in the process. "Let's get out of her," Lanesha said to her friend, putting a twenty on the table before grabbing her friend's hand and pulling her away.
Drawn by the sound of frightful screaming and terror, Kaido resumed visibility and walked over towards the gathering crowd. He puched his way through and saw the dead body on the ground. He nodded and gave a small laugh, the suicide attempt seemed interesting, and yet unrealistic. "Must be the government," he muttered to himself before turning and pushing his way out of the crowd.

"Next time they blow themselves up." Regie picked up his glasses and put them on. They suppressed his powers slightly. After waiting for the girl to get a decent distance he got up and followed. not bothering to leave any money like it mattered his server was on the floor dead or dieing.

"What just happened back there?" Lanesha's friend asked.
"I haven't the slightest idea," Lanesha replied as the two girls stopped running and calmly walked side by side.
"I probably should head home now," Lanesha's friend said.
Lanesha nodded. "I'll see you at school tomorrow," she said turning back the way she'd come and waving at her friend. Lanesha turned and saw the man from the cafe behind her. "It's just a coincidence," she told herself, not stopping so that she didn't worry her friend. She walked towards the man hoping to be able to just pass him and continue on.

A pang of guilt hit Lanesha hard as she looked into his ice blue eyes. As the guilt began to consume her she reached into her hand bag. Her hand wrapped around a small bottle and she pulled it out and sprayed it in the man's eyes. It wasn't her pepper spray like she wanted, but her perfume would have to do. She fell to the ground as she backed up, but she quickly got back up before running down the street from the crazy man. She couldn't go home tonight, that would put her parents in danger, but what was she supposed to do then.

Regie cursed and reared back rubbing his eyes. "you little...." his glasses fell off and he stepped on them they shattered into several small pieces. he backed up against the wall and tried to blink the perfume out of his eyes. His vision was blurred but he could see the girl running down the ally He decided not to follow.
Monid flinched slightly he could hear Regies thoughts above all others he sounded pissed. He could aso hear the paniced thoughts of lanesha he really did not want to let Regie know where she would be. Monid groaned and put in his headphones and turned his MP3 player as loud as it would go. i helped to distract him from all the voices.
