Seeing as how this sub-forum has no rules yet, I feel that it will be necessary to put down some ground rules that need to be established for any and all topics that can and will be added here.
1.
Be respectful of all other members and their beliefs. While you may not agree with their beliefs, I cannot stress enough the importance of at least tolerating other religions. It is the utter lack of tolerance that there is such a rift and in-born hatred between the Pagan religions and Christianity. This kind of intolerance will
not be tolerated here and, depending on the severity and regularity of the offense by the same person, could result in either a warning or a banning.
2.
If you have nothing of at least neutral intent to say or better, then say nothing at all. This rule goes hand-in-hand with the first rule and for the same reasons.
3.
Please be aware of what you are posting and where. If a question is posted in the wrong thread, you
will be redirected to another thread to ask there. Repeatedly breaking this rule may result in you either being ignored or being asked to leave.
4.
No question is stupid. Don't be afraid to ask even the most basic of questions regarding any of the topics available- in fact, it is encouraged. Even if you understand it yourself, someone else may not and may, in fact, be afraid to ask it out of fear of being called "stupid."
5.
Keep the swearing down to a minimum. This is a sub-forum dedicated to educating others about spirituality, religion and metaphysics. Because of this, it is expected that you will hold your tongue on the "four-letter words" and use others in their place.
6.
Please user proper spelling and grammar as much as possible. This cannot be stressed enough. Nobody wants to sit there and try to decipher a one-line post for fifteen minutes because someone decided to use "1337 5p34k" or "chtspk." The ability of effectively communicating is of utmost importance in the world, and these topics are no different. If you need to, use a dictionary or thesaurus-
Dictionary.Com and
Thesaurus.Com are two incredibly useful online applications. Your computer also, most likely, has word processors that you can use to help correct your spelling and grammar. Please use these tools if you need to in order to help convey your point if you have difficulty with it on your own.
7.
Have fun, learn and educate. Life is an eternal school in which we both learn from and educate others on a daily basis, whether for good or for ill. Take what you can from these threads; learn and educate whenever possible- but most of all, enjoy yourself while you're at it.
