Charles Ashdown VI was born to the wealthy, well-to-do family of Ashdown. The Ashdowns were renowned for their power and grace; unbeknownst to all, they were descended from sorcerers and wizards. From a young age, Charles was raised to always remain calm and reserved. The Ashdowns believed that excessive displays of emotion led to destruction. Emotionally distant from his peers, young Charles spent his days toiling around etiquette tutors, experienced fencers, history professors, language arts tutors, and many many others. Charles knew that one day, the title of Lord would fall to him and he had to be ready to accept it at any time.

Dark Curiosity

Charles was a curious child. By the age of 10, he was always seen studying something. One of the voracious reader’s favorite subjects to study was alchemy. The archaic study of alchemy intrigued Charles because of its decline in the favor of modern science. The theories of immortality fascinated the boy. By the age of 15, he began to experiment with alchemy and believed himself to be a practitioner of a dying art. Though magic flowed through his veins as his blood, he never could really harness any of his ancestors’ strength. He began to become frustrated when his transmutation experiments failed again and again. He would have no hope of achieving alchemy's greatest goal of immortality if he could not even turn copper into gold.

At the age of 18, a frustrated Charles VI was awarded the title of Lord after his father passed away. Rather than manage the day to day affairs that would secure that his family's legacy (such as cavorting with an equally wealthy young lady and sewing the seeds of another generation), Charles spent his family’s resources in traveling the world. His pursuit of knowledge led him to Greece, Africa, China, North America, Germany, and back to his home in Austria. This trek around the world brought about the realization of the new Lord Ashdown’s latent abilities. Though almost penniless, he still desired the holy grail of alchemy: immortality.

Friends of the family were growing concerned with Lord Charles. He was now 25, and he had yet to wed one of noble pedigree. Lord Charles did not care; if he attained immortality, Lord Charles would become his own heir! During one night in his ancestral castle, Lord Charles discovered something. Lord Charles began to renovate his study to fit all of the trinkets he had acquired during his travels. Behind a massive bookshelf that house thousands of books, Lord Charles discovered a door that led to a long forgotten chamber. Within were countless scrolls and archives that dated back to when the Ashdowns were supreme amongst wielders of magic. Lord Charles combined his research with that of the magic scrolls and archives he found. He was confident he could find a way to become immortal; sadly, he had. A black tome buried in dust held the answer. Called the Libri Discordia, this tome spoke of how to harness the power of the spirits, prolong age, wield black magic, and other miscellaneous archaic skills. It was obvious this was a book of necromancy. Were his ancestors necromancers? What made them die out? Several questions raced inside Lord Charles’ brain. He spent a year studying the book and memorizing spell after spell. Out of what he perceived as mastery of the book, he called himself Lord Discord for kicks.

In 1830, Lord Charles Ashdown VI believed himself to be an experienced necromancer. Cocky and cruel, he transformed all of his servants into skeletal slaves as part of a twisted experiment. With each act, his soul became more and more tainted. With the Libri Discordia, he believed he had finally achieved all he ever wanted. Lord Charles’ insanity went unnoticed as an Austrian Countess sought to summons the powers of darkness. His corrupted soul demanded him to join in on this dark ceremony. This Countess welcomed Lord Charles with open arms; he found himself rather attracted by her since she was so similar to him. As the ceremony continued, those who feared the powers of darkness stormed the Countess’ home. In the clash, Lord Charles died. The Countess' crumbled home would be his grave.

The Rise of Lord Discord

The knowledge obsessed man died, but his spirit endured. His necromancy had encompassed every part of his body. Though the chance to summon the supreme darkness was gone, Lord Charles remained. He was alive! He crawled out of the wreckage that was the Countess' home and raised his arms triumphantly. It was then that he noticed the flesh of his right arm had been flayed right off; however, it was fully functional. When he looked down at his stomach, he saw his intestines freely hanging from his wound. He was a mangled monstrosity. Lord Charles Ashdown VI had gained immortality most perverse. In his rebirth, Lord Charles cast aside his given name and christened himself Lord Discord, now and forever!

To Lord Discord, the only thing that was important was that his spirit remained intact. With his knowledge of alchemy, sorcery, and necromancy, he could create a mortal shell whenever he desired to experience the simple pleasures of humanity. But hence forth, his original body became nothing more than a skeletal husk that held his spirit when he entered battle. Lord Discord was forever plagued by those who saw him as a monster. So that his immortality would never be boring, he allowed them to battle him. Eventually his thirst for battle led him to the Battledome…...

Personality
When he was still mortal, Lord Charles was very inquisitive. He questioned everything and demanded why certain things were as such. As he grew older, Lord Charles became quite callous in his means to get answers. Above all else, he restrains himself. As Lord Discord, many of his quirks remain the same. However, his is extremely vicious in battle and unrelenting in his research.

Miscellaneous Personality Information: While in a human shell, Lord Discord becomes a little bit of a glutton. He finds it extremely hard to resist cinnamon tarts and peanut butter cups.

Other Tidbits
- Is right handed
- Despises pink
- Has a demon fetish
- Massandra Sherry 1775 is favored wine

Powers & Abilities (to be edited)

Necromancy: Lord Discord can summon forth nearly any manner of foul being of death. Each summoning exhausts his immortal soul to some extent. Entire legions of undead often render Lord Discord immobile.

Shapeshifting: When Lord Charles visited Germany, he acquired a shapeshifting spell. Lord Charles never used it, but thought it was amusing. When he became Lord Discord, the shapeshifting spell became a means as to differentiate the shell bodies he makes for himself.

Jiv’undus Faerz'undus/The Spell of Agony: Before his death, the Drow Sorcerer Nathas created an imperfect spell that would inflict the most horrific pain on its victim. All mental, the attack would mimic the sensations of pain to the point where it seems absolutely real. Lord Discord would eventually perfect the spell.

Omnifarious: The Many Forms of Lord Discord

In order to confound his enemies, Lord Discord claims to be chaos incarnate. He constantly alters his body to keep them guessing. For fun, he often claims that he had long forgotten whether he was a human, a drow, or some other kind of being before his chaotic realization.

User Image
Lord Charles Ashdown VI: Prior to traveling the world in search of power and knowledge, he was a normal human who whittled away his family's fortune to travel the world.

User Image
The Necromancer Charles Ashdown VI: Older and wiser from his travels, Lord Charles delved into necromancy. His travels around the world and the revelation of his roots made him quite a skilled necromancer. Upon death, he combined his alchemy and black magic to create shell bodies that mirror flesh and blood. When these bodies become worn out, they crack like glass.

User Image
Lich Lord Discord: This is Lord Discord's truest tangible form. When all his skin rotted away, only his skeleton remained. To support his bones, Lord Discord encased himself in death knight armor. It is in this form that his necromancy is at its peak.

User Image
Corrupted Spirit: This is the truest intangible form of Lord Discord! He is nothing more than a ghost who refuses to go to the afterlife. Why give up the pleasures of earth for the afterlife, or even a possible chance at reincarnation. It's such a waste! In this form, Lord Discord uses legions of ghosts to attack his enemies; many of these souls are those who thought themselves a match for Lord Discord.

Power of the Underdark: In his travels, Lord Charles discovered the Underdark, realm of the drow. A Drow sorcerer named Nathas Aleanndar found the curious human prying around the entrance to his underground home. Humans were normally not welcome to the Underdark unless they were slaves of a Matron Mother, but Nathas saw the dark potential in the human noble. For months, Lord Charles learned of the ways of black magic from Nathas. Admiring him, the young man was fascinated by the drow sorcerer and began to emulate him. Sadly, Lord Charles witnessed Nathas accidentally kill himself in a forbidden rite. Lord Charles inherited his former mentor's cape and staff. As a remembrance for his possible first friend, Lord Discord created a shell body that resembled Nathas.

User Image
Vampire's Fury: Years ago, when Lord Charles was Nathas protege, the young man came across the parasitic race known as the Vampires. These bloodsucking fiends intrigued the young lord. At one time, he thought of joining their ranks to gain the immortality that he sought. However, their ways proved too primal at times. Vampires often allowed their urges to guide their judgment. Now as Lord Discord, the allure of the vampire has made him create a shell in the image of the fanged-predator.

Birth Name: Nathas Aleanndar
House: Aleanndar (The Noble Line of Black Hearts)
Height: 6 ft 4 in (Magically augmented from 4 ft)
Weight: 195 lbs
Age: 1300 years and 10 days old
Date of Death: 1824

Nathas was the first born son of a high-ranking cleric of the Spider Goddess. Because he was a boy, Nathas was a second class citizen in his own home. He was given little respect until the day he displayed an aptitude at magic. As soon as he was old enough, Nathas was sent to a wizardry academy to learn how to hone his skills. Eventually Nathas would be forgotten after his sister (his mother’s second born) came around. With feelings of hatred bubbling, Nathas left the wizardry academy when the first opportunity came; fortunately for him, he had learned all he could.

A rogue wizard, Nathas fled to the surface world and made his home in a swamp. The vile decay of the swamp made him feel at home. In a grotto, he would begin to conduct magical experiments (testing his summoning limits especially). Through his experimentation, Nathas became an expert Summoner. His magical expertise eventually attracted a young Lord Charles Ashdown.

Battledome Impressions

Lord Discord's time in the Battledome has brought forth near infinite amusement. In battle, the foul lich has repeatedly battled several combatants.

Alnette Syvallion: Before he ventured into the Battledome, Lord Discord had conversed with this intriguing young woman. As they battled, he formulated unique friendship with her. After getting acquainted, the two became lovers (Discord utilizes his human shell in these instances).

The Vampiress Raven: If Lord Discord could describe Raven in two words, it would be "charming" and "dangerous." Discord is always on guard when he speaks to her. Vampires are very unpredictable.

Remus Fletcher: The wicked lich has had many defeats at the hands of this cybernetic creature. He has earned both Lord Discord's respect and scorn. Technology versus Magic is always interesting. His outlandish, perverted antics are quite humorous.

Lady Emma of Bainbridge: A vexing woman, the lich prefers to keep contact with her at a minimal. There seems to be some animosity between them and Lord Discord prefers not to be antagonized; of course this could be a misunderstanding.

The Scribbler: Of all of Nazynri's forms, the Scribbler is the one Lord Discord has faced the most. Her perplexing ability to simply draw monsters and give them life makes Discord a little envious.

Drathi the Violet Magician: Young and eager for knowledge and a meaningful use for it, Drathi has earned Lord Discord's respect with his determination and surprisingly strong magic. Now if Drathi knew how to properly control it.

Wilhelm "Willi" Weihrauch: A normal human entering the Battledome with just hits wits and trusty weapon is pretty foolish, but Mr. Weihrauch determination and skill is worth commending. As with any of the combatants listed, Lord Discord grows excited for battle when he sees this man of German descent.

Ernst Heistermann: This guise of Der Untergang is the one Lord Discord is most familiar with. Ernst's constant body-changing reminds Discord of his shell bodies. One day, Discord would like to compare their shape-shifting abilities.

Alice the Witch: A perplexing girl to say the least. She is so unpredictable.

Eris the Goddess of Chaos: Lord Discord versus Chaos Incarnate! Eris has defeated the lich a few times. When battling this chaotic deity, he does his best to prove he deserve his redubbed name Discord.

Farskon Remont: The ever zealous paladin. Lord Discord enjoys showing Farskon the dark joy of necromancy. The lich tends to go too far when he summons extremely large monstrosities.

Loki Jorge Blood: In Lord Discord's early days of the arena, he fought Loki so many times that it seemed as though Loki grew tired of it. Loki is an honorable mention for battling Discord so many times in the beginning.

Chelleri the Saiyan Alchemist: She is an honorable mention because space monkeys are fun to watch in a battle.

Thank you. I could not help myself, however. The Countess is a reference to Castlevania: Circle of the Moon.
