The absent-minded girl stretched and walked out of the shade, speaking slowly to herself. "It's a new school year! I'll do my best! I'll keep my stuff together, concentrate, and..." She was soon side-tracked by a passing butterfly. The curious student watched it for a minute, but returned to talking to absolutely no one. A big smile erupted on her face. "I wonder if we'll get Yukari and Nyamo this year. That'd be great.... But it'd also mean....." Her happiness left as quickly as it came, as thoughts of Kimura burst into her mind. "Oh, well.... I'll work hard, get a good job, and soon everyone will know the name of..." She took a fighting stance slowly. "Osaka!" She picked up her bag and walked to school.

As Osaka was walking into the school yard, Minamo was preparing her classroom. Hmm...she thought as she looked at her class roster. Let's see...I got Kagura...Yomi...oh God I got Tomo...and, oh gosh, I got Osaka-san... The woman put down the roster and leaned back in her chair, waiting for her new students to arrive.

Osaka looked up at the board. Okay, last year I was confused, I was lookin for Ayumu Kasuga. But this year, I'm prepared! I'll look for Osaka instead!" She searched thoroughly. "..... No! I didn't pass!!! How can this be!?! I did so well last..." She thought of all the times she was thwapped by Yukari-sensei's books. "Oh no! Sleeping affects my grade!?!"

Miss Kurosawa pulled her hand out pf the desk drawer. "Here, Mr. Kimura." she said, depositing the small bow of paper clips into his outstretched hand. As he turned to leave, she called out after him. "Um...! Mr Kimura!" He whirled around to face her. "Um...h-how was your summer?" she asked nervously.

"Summer?" Mr Kimura asked in almost a shocked manner. "Oh, it was fine.I help with my community clean up program, the park near my house was getting horribly dirty. And there is also a public pool near my house... It's only open durring the summer though."
