So, Karak and I were talking on the phone, and he mentioned how in the last book, Sea Of Swords, Catti-brie's eyes are said to be blue. Same thing with the Hunter's Blade Trilogy, I've noticed. Now, maybe it's just me, but I always thought of her eyes as green. Has anyone else noticed this?
Also, why do a lot of the characters have blue eyes? The only ones I can think of are Wulfgar and *apparently* Catti-brie, but Karak insists there are more.
Just bugs me, that's all. Post anything else that bugs you, if you want.

Always been a pet peeve of mine when in every single series, characters always seem to have abnormal or rare eye colours. What's wrong with good old brown?
Actually, another thing that's always kinda bugged me is the fact people put so much emphasis on eye colour when describing people's appearances. I always feel that if I look at someone, the first things I notice are their hair, clothing, and stature. I wouldn't be staring into their eyes to determine what colour it is.

Every eye color has some kind of meaning to it too, so it's hard to break the stereotypes.
Another thing that bugs me is how utterly depressing the Hunter's Blade Trilogy is. Thanks for pointing it out there, Matron Yuki. I believe you now.

I thought Catti-brie had brown or green eyes....o.O Maybe a greenish blue? Hm...=/
Well, I DID say Hunters Blade was depressing. The end of it was funny as hell though...at least to me. >>;; I imagined the scene a bit TOO clearly. rofl
Lily, you read all three books, or most of them?

I'm on the third book now. But dear god, could The Lone Drow be more depressing?
Well, actually, the only way to make it more depressing would be to kill Bruenor off. Or Innovindil. But they killed Tarathiel, and that made me have to read it again because I was THAT shocked.
So, yeah.

The Lone Drow was THE most depressing. I seriously didn't want to read the last one of that trilogy because the second was that depressing. I can't believe they killed Tarathiel like that. It was like WHAT?! THAT DID NOT JUST HAPPEN!!!! I was like the third book HAS to have a happy ending and it...kind of did.

Well on the topic of eye/hair color. When speaking of Faerun, the more north you go (and especialy in IWD) blond hair and blue eyes are quite common amongst the barbarian tribes. Now there are certain exceptions where there are black hair/dark eyes. But since im assuming that Wulfgar and Cattiebrie are both native to IWD (i know wulfgar is, but i dont know much about catiebrie) THen for them to atleast have blue eyes is very comon

I actually never noticed that, so it's quite all right, LDK.
At least I know the third book has to end happily. My guess is that Drizzt will come back and see that his friends are still alive and then they celebrate by killing orcs/trolls/giants together. Dwarves will win, and all will be well again. Still wondering about Catti-brie there, though. Don't spoil it though! I'm only on Chapter 6!

I won't spoil anything, but I could just imagine that you had starry eyes while saying what you think was going to happen at the end. The end is like a love/hate relationship to me. *shrugs*

I seriously read that part so many times because I seriously had the scene mentally happening in my head and I was screaming YES YOU b*****d YOU'RE FINALLY BEING A MAN!!!!
I think that was vague-ish so it's not whited out. *shrugs*
