 The afternoon was sparkling, a fresh rainstorm had just passed out of Quechual lands. The Munakusqa, Aditi, was making her way back from seeing the troop's pods. They were a great source of pride and strength for the troop. Aditi had a special fondness for visiting the healers and the pods since her own young had been born.
Walking through the jungle, Aditi noticed with excitement that the rare mutiya fruit was nearing time to harvest. That would mean it was almost time for a gathering and feast for the troop. A warm breeze ruffled through Aditi's bright green hair as she nosed the bushes and sniffed the mutiya fruit. The afternoon weather was clearing up and Aditi was in the mood to make her rounds.
Aditi came down a path into what she called the heart of the Troop. The popular area was adjacent to their food stores and was the largest clearing to be found on their lands. This made it the best place for them to come and socialize. Younglings were often found here, gathering for lessons and organizing games. Others constantly arrived, busily bringing food or other goods to share.

 Varuna looked around, bewildered. He and his sister had returned to the heart of the trooplands and had both quickly fallen asleep again, still tired from their day's activities. When he had awoken she was nowhere to be found. He had spent some time searching the surrounding area but he had no idea where to find her. He was just about to venture out further when he saw his mother coming down the path. Maybe she would know where Ananta had gone.

 Ananta was stalking her brother, keeping silent and under cover as much as possible. When she was looked for she moved with out a sound away from the spots he had looked in. Just as their mother was coming down the main path, Ananta pounced on her brother. Well tried to, hoping to surprise him. "Gotcha brother!" She shouted in mid pounce.

Aditi could not help but pick out her own younglings nearby. Almost like clockwork, first came Varuna and then shortly after Ananta. Aditi snorted, "Ananta!" She was hardly in trouble, but Aditi did not want the pair getting too carried away. "You two behave and you can come with me."
They always wanted to hang around and follow her on her business around the troop, but they so rarely were able to. They needed to focus on the lessons they were receiving from the Diospa anyways! Being the Munakusqa's children, Varuna and Ananta were certain to hold ranked positions of some sort when they were old enough. They had a lot of training ahead of them, and Aditi knew she enjoyed seeing them young and enjoying their pranks. The large brown female strode over to join the younglings with a smile.

"ACK!"
He yelled out as he was squashed to the ground by his sister, laughing and spitting out what little dirt and grass he'd eaten. Looking up with a lopsided grin he greeted his mother happily.
"Hello Mother!"
Not a moment later he started to rock from side to side in an attempt to roll his sister over.

Ananta rolled off of Varuna a smile still spreading wide across her face. "Hello mother..Yes mother," She then turned to Varuna and stuck her tongue out at him with a smirk. Mainly an expression that said she would get him again later.

 Kuychi sat in between the huge roots of a towering tree. She scratched her cheek lightly with a yawn as she squinted out into the bright morning. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes and fought the urge to curl up in her bed of leaves. Her tummy rumbled, insisting she find some food. "I definately can't go hungry." She spoke to her stomach as she patted it with reassurance. "Let's go hunt up some breakfast."
As she was heading off towards the water, she heard giggles coming in her direction and knew they were from other troop memebers. "I wonder who that is?" She thought. Forgetting her angry tummy for a moment, Kuychi decided to wait and see who was heading her way.

 Chaska was enjoying a meal break when he heard the Munakusqa's voice. The Suntur turned and held back a grin as he realized her call was directed at her children. He looked down at his meal and shrugged. "I'd best get back to my duties. If Aditi's making rounds, her guard should be with her, especially if her children are coming."
He quickly finished the last few bites and stood stretching out in an almost leisurely fashion before moving to a spot a distance from the Munakusqua, but within her sight as she was within his. Chaska bowed to her to indicate he was back on duty for whatever she needed. No matter what though as appointed Guard he would follow and protect Aditi and by connection her children, under any circumstances.

Aditi shook her head at the playful children, a lighthearted look across her features as she started to walk again. They were so young, there was little point in trying to contain them too much! As long as they did not get lost or hurt in the process of all their play.
Before Aditi made it but a a few steps, she noticed the Suntur Chaska was approaching. She had thought he must be taking a break this time of day, but acknowledged him with a appreciative nod. He was always very aware of her and very careful to be present when he thought he might be needed. They did not have much trouble in the troop but the guard was as much of tradition as a precaution, especially with her having children around too.
A short bend in the jungle path and then Aditi could see another brightly colored tetchan about the age of her own children. She slowed down, knowing her children would usually be excited when they came across another youngling, "How are you, Kuychi?"

He smirked at his and was about to go after her again once his mother had turned away when Chaska appeared. He glanced at his sister and gave her his trademark mischievous grin. With no warning he dashed over the Suntur and leapt on his back, clinging to his neck.
"Suntur Chaska!"

Aditi turned away from Kuychi for a moment, hearing more than seeing the flying burst of energy that was Varuna as he leapt towards Chaska.
"Varuna!" She shook her head, "It isn't everyone's job to carry you around!" It was hard not the smile, the poor Suntur looked quite comical with the youngling hanging onto him. The Munakusqa was always relieved that her Suntur and children seemed to get along well, despite how tiring her younglings could easily be!

It took every ounce of will Chaska posessed not to instinctively throw his "attacker." In fact he did reach up and grab the youngster's arm.
"Very funny Varuna, I'm glad to see you, too," he said stiffly trying to hold the growl from his voice. "But its typically not a good idea to jump upon a trained fighter especially when he's on duty." With that he released Varuna's arm gave himself a good shake hoping the youngster would acctually get the hint and let go...
Chaska really did like Varuna and his sister but the mischief they could get into often gave the Suntur a headache. He managed a grin of appreciation at the Munakusqa's reaction.

Ananta grinned back at her brother. Yes she knew he would get her back for pouncing on him, it was her very intention from the start. Their games wouldn't be any fun if they didn't get each other back. She sat back watching as her brother jumped on to Chaska, but she did not. She was smarter then her brother. "Hello Suntur Chaska," She spoke her greeting.

He hopped of the Suntur with a grin, laughing at his reaction. He then turned to his mother with an even wider grin.
"You are right mother...it is their pleasure."
He laughed again, sidling up to walk next to their protector.

Chaska shook his head at Varuna's response to his mother. Too clever for their own good these two... He gave a polite nod to Ananta. "Good day Ananta."
"So are we out for a stroll about the territory?" he asked.
