Well normally I make about 10k daily without doing avi art =) how I do it?
1. BOOTY GRAB LIKE HELL!!!! xD
2. Join easy contests on gaia =) small cash is better then nothing
3. comment on ppl's profiles or in forums. you earn a lot on that
4. play 300 jigsaw puzzle. if you never play it, 300 will give yo easily 600-700 gold =)
You can also find some small jobs on gaia. Like I would gladly pay someone to line up my avi art when I scan them. You know...so I can just colour it by clicking. Not having to be so careful =)

i hope you don't mind that i add this naomi:
a very good way to make money is to dominate the marketplace. pay attention to the charts to see what's going up and what's going down. wait until the moment is right to either buy or sell. remember, buy low, sell high!
also, hold onto the holiday items until the holiday is coming around. for instance, all of the halloween stuff is going to go up in price around this time.
another thing is to hold onto the items you get for watching a trailer. these go up in price in time. something on the market for a couple gold during the time you can get the item free will usually be 1k within a month.

I like doing things safe thou xD and it works pretty well to me =)
