 Saqr sighed and crossed his arms over his chest. He was perched on the edge of a rooftop outside of the main guild headquarters, and overlooking the city below. He hadn't received any assignments of late and he felt it might be reflecting poorly on him. "Is Al-Mualim trying to hint at something?" He sighed again and dropped his head to his hands. "They did warn me it would be this way..." The assassin continued to contemplate his predicament, talking to himself from time to time in a quiet, husky voice. He eventually began to finger a throwing knife that he had drawn from his belt, passing it between his fingers in a absent manner. His long, dark hair blew about his face in a distracting manner and he realized the wind had picked up. He tilted his head back and watched a falcon circling high above him. A slight, warm smile crept onto his lips.

Zero agiley scaled the side of the building, making sure that none of the guards could see her. She pulled herself over the ledge and knelt to the ground. She took a quick look around and saw a tall man with black hair, staring into the sky. Hmmm... Another assassin? She took a few tentative steps forward. Now that she could see him more clearly, it was definite that he was part of the Assassin's Order, like herself. Zero blinked against the blinding sun. The man, whose name she remembered as Saqr, had not noticed her-- or was choosing not to. "What is wrong?" she called, referring to the assassin being off-duty. "Al-Mualim has no assignments for you?"

The assassin lowered his gaze slowly, his hand not tensing around the blade he still was fiddling with between his fingers. "Ah, Zero." He was silent for a few beats, simply waiting for the wind to pass and listening for the falcon's cry. The raptor in the sky continued circling, heedless of a human's silent whim to hear its piercing cry.
"Be careful of the sun's glare, don't let it obscure your sight or you may miss an arrow or two hidden in its bright path." He stood up and slipped the knife back into his belt. He walked towards her then. "I take it you frequent the high rooftops as well?" He swept his hand around him. He was skirting the question she'd posed.
The large man cleared his throat and then bent lower, having seen the pair of assassins below spot them. He frowned. "No. I haven't had an assignment in weeks now. This does not look promising but it is my own fault." He waved his hand in front of his face in a dismissive matter. "Never you mind though. I'm lingering here in hopes of at least something coming up. This waiting bores me to no end."

Zero nodded. "I like inhabiting the rooftops when I am alone." She followed Saqr's gaze to the assassin's far below. "And as for the lack of assignments, I find that I am becoming increasingly suspicious that Al-Mualim is hiding something from us." She hooked her thumbs under the belt of her assassin's uniform. The sun made the creamy-coloured cloth covering her torso turn a blinding white. "But he would have my head for saying so."

Saqr's eyes narrowed both from the brightness of the sun even with the charcoal under his eyes to reduce the glare and at the sudden appearance of the other two assassins. He was not familiar with their faces.
"Do you suspect this as well?" He was curious of their sudden, silent appearance the apparent friendly nature of the one next to him. They made him a little uneasy, peferring ample personal space around him. He stood again, having averted the eyes of those below on the street, and crossed his well-muscled arms across his chest.
{OOC: True, I am perplexed by the vague nature of your posts. Length and detail are your best weapons.}

Lyra sighed and bent over the building's edge, watching Sin dive into the haystack with a loud clatter. "Never one for being discreet, is he?" she observed. She straighened back up again and tossed a glance to Saqr, who was about 10 feet away. She clicked her tongue pensively for a moment, then spoke once more. "What brought you to the Assassin's Order, anyway?" She knew many of the Order's members, but was unknowing of their lives before becoming assassins.

"What else is there for a man in my position? Heh!" He found this humorous and his laugh was more of a husky bark. He folded his arms behind his head and watched the other assassin's antics. "Nope, but this'll be interesting, no?" He grinned. Of course he was evading her questions.
"Nothing good ever comes of knowing too much about others. It breeds sentiment and attachment. Both of those are a great hinderances to one in our line of work."
{Damn if Saqr's diction isn't just that of a proper english major, sheesh he doesn't sound like much of a street rat that he grew up as... Darned characters stealing away their own personalities! XD}

((Lol ya XD))
Zero couldn't stop the smile twitching at the corners of her mouth. Here she was, talking on the roof with a man more than twice her years; it must be quite a frightening sight for any passerby who happened to look skywards, for she and Saqr must have had at least twenty different forms of weaponry on their persons... "What you speak of is very true." she said, chuckling. "But are you always so certain of everything?"

"Oh hardly! This is just my confident side. I'm really not so complex." He waved his hands, dismissing another statement. He saw an odd expression on her face. "Something bothering you?" A smirk drew up one corner of his mouth.
"I spout words of wisdom for one so young as yourself. How can you be an assassin if you are just a girl?" He said this in jest but in his tone it was more of a statement. How could a girl be an assassin, wouldn't she have a chance still at even finding a job as a washwoman's assistant. Assassination didn't pay well, so what could've have drawn her to this profession? One dark eyebrow rose in question.

Zero couldn't help but scowl at Saqr. "You doubt my abilitiy because of my age, and the fact I am a girl?" she was quiet for a moment, then grinned. "And I do not blame you! Many others of the Order question my motives for being an assassin." She drew one hand above her eyes, shielding herself from the torturous sunlight. "But motives are unimportant." she said. She looked up at Saqr. "Or, as you may say, the more or less you know of someone, the harder it becomes to trust them. Of course, it all depends on the person in question." She took a long pause before saying, "If you really must know, I was caught trying to steal an object from the Order... and when Al-Mualim saw me scaling the wall in an attempt to escape, instead of beheading me when I was captured, he offered my a position within the Order's inner circle." She laughed. "He at first believed me to be some fragile, sentimental butterfly of a girl, but I have proved him wrong on numerous occasions, I believe."
