Chapter one: The coming of the first Siege
Ishimaru looked out of the castle. Hurtu's walls wouldn't fall so long as the paladins where there to help. He squinted a little bit, seeing an army travel towards them. He had to pass these people up on the way to reinforce the Templar's allies.
A paladin, dressed in complete red walked over to Ishimaru. "Sir, how long do you think the mages have to get here?" he asked the man.
Ishimaru turned to the initiate. "The mages have more pressing issues right now, they have portals to here once they are done. If we can not hold, we are ordered by Shan'tu to go through the portal back to Nar'ak, but I feel that won't be necessary," he said. He cursed himself a little as it came out. The army was three times as large as the defending force, and he was becoming arrogant.
He was always taught never to become arrogant, it was the downfall of many. He waved the man away and got down from the tower. There was nothing they could do to stop this army from coming, but they would hold this citadel no matter the cost. As long as the walls held to this city, they could converge them on one point of entrance. The bridge would be their best bet, allowing the paladins to hold off the incoming wave, and the archers to fire into their ranks. They would have to deal with the paladins before the archers.
Unless of course they have their warlocks, Ishimaru thought, sadly. Ishimaru knew they had their warlocks, after all, this force was most likely full of Abyssals.
He walked to the gate and whispered into the ear of one of the guards, "You are in charge here right now, I'm going to see Shan'tu about something important." The lieutenant nodded and immediately started shouting orders. The shouting, however, was lost to Ishimaru as he had more pressing issues on his mind.
As Ishimaru walked into the main section of the castle, he felt the Druid's love of nature, because, in fact, the Courtroom was a tree. The druids, assisted with the Mages, had made a tree, full of energy. Atop this tree was an enormous Palace, which held the courtroom. The mages had enchanted the tree so it could not set fire, and also so it could live with the weight on top of it.
Ishimaru finally walked into the palace after many steps, and bowed before the Arch-druid. "Yes, child of the Light?" he asked Ishimaru, in his soothing, old, wise voices. "The fortifications are in place, and everyone is ready. The legion will arrive in an hour. The mages have not arrived, but they will in a day and a half, we must hold until then," he said, getting on one knee.
The Arch-druid looked pleased at this news. "Then we shall stand and fight against them. We shall drive them out of this land, and if the mages still need help by then, we will aid them. May Mother Gaia guide your travels through peace and safety," The arch-druid said, turning towards the portal room.

Chapter two: The beginning of the first Siege
Ishimaru made it to the gate just in time to the the doors of the castle become flooded with demons and mortals alike. The Paladins quickly stepped forward, screaming various battle cries.
"For the Light!" "For the Alliance!" "For Sten're!"
Ishimaru ran across the gate's upper floor, and looked down. He dreaded what he saw. "Dark Knights!" he screamed into the battle.
One of the armored figures jumped up to the top of the gate, and smiled evilly. Ishimaru ran at him. "The Light will prevail!" he screamed over the other battle cries and the clinging of weapons. Ishimaru brought his sword down upon the Dark figure.
Ishimaru's sword clashed with the Dark Knight's sword, and a flurry of dark and light sparks flew off both swords. The Dark Knight brought back his free hand and a ball of darkened energy formed into it. Ishimaru realized it too late.
As Ishimaru hit the ground he charged his own ball- this one being made of pure light. He shot it at the figure and it blocked the bolt with another one. He finally noticed something upon the Knight's armor. Golden runes. The Death runes, which meant he was face with an equal or greater foe than he was. Ishimaru got up and smirked. "Are you going to enjoy this battle as much as I am?" he asked the Death Knight.
The Death Knight smirked back at Ishimaru. "I suppose so, protector of Light," he said, raising his hand as shadows appeared behind him. "My name is Ner'ur, and it is a custom to give your name to the one you're about to kill," the man said, smiling fiendishly.
Ishimaru pulled his sword out of the ground. "Very well, Ner'ur, I am Ishimaru," he said, pointing the blade at the man. Ishimaru put out his hand and a light shone from his hand, blinding the Death Knight long enough for Ishimaru to blast him onto a lower level of the Galleys. Ishimaru smirked and jumped down to the lower level as the man stood up. "Let us begin," he said, taunting the man.
