It has nothing to do with your spark plugs...Check your float in the tank. Either that is stuck, or it is not being read by the computer.

XxEdward_n_BellaXx check your fuel pump if its been siting for 3 years it prbly needs to be replaced thats all i can say.. If it starts and runs, then the pump wouldn't be the problem. The pump might need to be replaced anyways, but that isn't the issue. Its going to be either the float, the sending unit...maybe the guage, but I don't think so. I would first take a voltmeter and check for power to the float and power to the guage before I bought anything. That would let you know where the problem is. Dropping the tank shouldn't be too dificult. Just a few bolts is all it should be. Buy a manual, that is good advice. And be forewarned, cadillac's often require special tools in order to make basic repairs.

I didn't think about a steel spring gauge. well as far as i kno they dont use them any more...im my 1992 toyota truck is the last time i say ony when i replaced mine..they use digital gages and amnun springs now and they go out alot more iv replaced like 5 in my car cause of the new dihital gas gage so yeah look into that..ok the spring steel is a coil of thin steel and will rust out with the sloghtest drip of water
