Appearance:Oo.Yumi,oO Bio:When growing up, Yumi was often abused by her mother, who blamed her for everything. One of the many things she blamed her for was Yumi's father leaving, even thought she was not even born when he left them. Around the age of 10 she was put in a foster home because one of Yumi's teachers, finally, found out that her mother was abusing her. Due to the years of abuse from her mother Yumi has been made to think that she should be dead. That she should have never been born. When Yumi was 14 she tried to commit suicide for the first time but failed. After that she has tried on so many occasions but every time someone found her before she died. When her psychiatrist asked her why she did this to herself, she had two reasons. One was saying that she was useless; her mom was right and she should have never been born. The other was that she wanted 'Ava' to stop talking to her. After she told her psychiatrist that he told her foster parents that she should be admitted to St. Rosenburg's Home for the Mentally Ill and they did. Yumi has been here for the last year and a half.
Why did they end up in here(Like what mental illness do they have): Yumi hears a voice she calls Ava and has tried to kill herself on many occasions.
Anything else you would like to add put here: Yumi does not talk to anyone, even though she has been here for two years. The most she will say to any one is one word.She doesn't even like to talk to her doctors. You will also not see Yumi with out her stuffed bear she has named Fluffy.

Bio: Lived with her mom and dad in a small Omaha, Nebraska until age twelve when her parents and uncle died in a car crash while en rout to pick her up from drama rehearsal. Her Aunt Bethany, the only survivor of the accident, gained guardianship of lylah after that. Her aunt always hated and blamed her for the death of her husband. Lylah doesn't remember much between the age of twelve and her eigthteenth birthday, when Bethany put her out and said "you're not my problem anymore". She lived in a homeless shelter, until she got a job and earned enough money to support herself.
Why did they end up in here(Like what mental illness do they have):Bethany's lack of memory stems from repressed memories of abuse and cruelty at the hands of her aunt. She will dissociate into the repressed memory. Although she won't remember the episodes, she knows she has a serious problem. She was brought in to St. Rosenburg after a vivid dissociative episode in the middle of traffic.
Anything else you would like to add put here: She is very clausterphobic, and is afraid of bread and cigarettes.

Bio: When Alfie was younger, she often had a lot of imaginary friends. Her mother would always ask her who she was playing with and why she didn't have any real friends and Alfie would reply, "Momma, I've got all the friends I need up here," while tapping her temple. She was always a soft spoken girl, but she never told a lie.
As she got older, things got better but took a turn for the worse when her father died in the war. Manic depression has run in Alfie's family for generations and when her father died, Alfie developed a severe case of it. As it progressed, the voices, the people seemed to come back. She wouldn't leave the house at night and she'd often space out and wouldn't reply for hours. She preferred to be alone. Her mother neglected it, her depression far too bad for her to do anything about it.
Alfie's attendance to school was sketchy, but even when she was there, she was always checked out, in another world. One day, she couldn't take seeing 'them' anymore and had a fit in the middle of class. It was then that her family sent her to St. Rosenburg's.
Why did they end up in here(Like what mental illness do they have):Alfie suffers from a severe case of anorexia due to her mental disorder. She was diagnosed with paranoid schizophrenia at the age of 16.
Anything else you would like to add put here: Alfie is terrified of the dark. Also, she hates being left alone. When asked why, all she ever says is 'Because...they'll get me.'

Bio: Lena's childhood wasn't exactly pleasant. Her mother offered her to an occult as a sacrifice, her classmates called her a witch, a janitor was eyeing her like a hungry animal and the neighbors doesn't help her. Lena was a very special girl. She can draw, sing and dance. She can also see things people shouldn't see, things they don't have to see. Lena draw them in her sketch pad, scaring the living daylights out of the people she shows it to. She tells her classmates of what she sees and they grew afraid of her, therefore called her a witch.
One day, her mother offered her to an occult of the town. She was almost burning to a degree when a member of the occult was starting to scream. His robes were flaming and it already reached his waist. People panicked, claiming that Lena did it. But actually the member was way too close to the burning fire. When there's panic, there's a stampede. Occult members fought their way out of the room, since they lock it during ceremonies. The members weren't exactly sane as well so they started killing each other off in order to escape. One got out and started shouting of a Lena burning people she hated. A police officer was nearby and was on a mission to look for a missing girl called Lena to take her to a child care. The officer went to retrieved the girl and brought her to child care.
They treated her injuries there when she started talking of what she was seeing. The workers were freaked out and brought her to the mental institution instead.
Why did they end up in here(Like what mental illness do they have): Lena is clairvoyant and an empath. And she's a bit schizophrenic because of what the members did... things to her young body.
Anything else you would like to add put here: Nothing. Lena rather liked drawing in the walls and floors of her room though.

And she just about did if it wasn't for her best friend finding her about to hand herself. Seven years later she is still hearing Ella and Ellie and they are trying yet again. This time as she was about to cut herself and bleed out her mom found her and sent her away.

Bio: Michael Fletcher was accused and convicted of killing his family. He wasn't the acutall killer however, but he couldn't convince the jury. He was sentenced life in prison, but soon they believed he had mental illnesses, and was deemed a threat to the other in-mates. No one will believe him though, and he is forced to cope with this Mental Institute as he calls it.
Why did they end up in here(Like what mental illness do they have): He went somewhat crazy, and attempted suicide seven times, others might say he is deprressed

Etolie, had lost her mother in a crowd when she was five. She was kidnapped by a group of men who had brutally raped her. Her mother had searched for her but after six months they called off the search. She was kept in their houses until the age of thirteen. She was finally found by a young man whom was cop in a abandoned house left to die. She had thought he was there to sexually abuse her and just looked at him.
He had picked her up and taken her to the police office and tried to get a name out of her. She couldn't talk for she had screamed and screamed all those years she just finally stopped. She was placed into a foster home when she was yet again sexually abused by her foster father. She was returned then dropped off at St. Rosenburg. She tried committing suicide in her room to end all of the sadness and nervousness but failed. She cries alone in her room from remembering all of her past. She continues to ask god why he hasn't ended her misery and why he didn't end the abuse. She starves herself continuously, saying she's not hungry. She holds a teddy bear close to her and usually talks to it saying its name is Asrun.

Panic/anxiety attacks, then claims to see the faces of her rapists, and is depressed.

She cries at night feeling impure and coughs up blood into her blankets. She is currently kept in her room so the other patients do not catch consumption.
