Chobits was the second manga series that I ever read, and is by far my favourite still.
I was actually addicted when I first started reading it.

Has anyone else read and loved this series?

I enjoyed it, it was a very interesting Scfi-fi plot.

Who was your favourite character? And what was your favourite part?

Personally I liked Sumomo (or Plum), I can't remember which she was called in the books. And I loved all the 'city with no people' parts, and Chii's sister talking to her was captivating as well.

it has a certain Japanese strangeness about it

with alter egos

people that seem human but aren't

little creatures that seem cute but maybe aren't?

and a dark side, an undercurrent of unhappiness

the art is outstanding though
