Well, there's a few reasons I guess why I got this thing. First of all, it's a very first car for me and I told myself that when I would get a car, it would be a Chevrolet. I guess, that for me it's a step clsoer to owning a corvette. Also, I just like the body style on it. I think the engine is performant enough for me and I think I can make a real piece of art with this gem.
plus, I rode in one and drove one before making my choice. I love the way I am seated in the car and I love how the car is made inside and out. Apart from little maintenance issues i've had with it at the start of my ownership, this thing runs like new, it's fuel efficient and it's so fun to drive!
Finally, this car is worth gold to me because it was a gift that someone really special got me. My grandmother said that when she saw the car, it was somehow, someway just made for me lol, like the car was destined to be with me XD

Most people just get them because they are cheap.

hmm I have trouble actually saying it's a cheap car. My step father says hes had 3 of em in his life and that he never made it to 200 000 km of milege. I think ill be able to tough, I have 165, 000 clicks on my car so far and I perform general maintenance on it as often as needed. When i first got the car it was misfiring and not iddling properly, but i fixed it up and now it runs like brand new!!

Rykato Please tell me it has the 2.2l and not the 2.4l twin cam. Everyone tells me the 2.4 L DOHC is crap... But yes, that's what I have. And i'll say, I'm a very satisfied buyer so far. For the price we got it for and all that, well I can just say i'm really freakin' happy :3

I'm sorry to hear that. Make sure you keep and eye on the head gasket and valve seals, those engines love to eat those up. Either of those will have you burning fluids you're not supposed to in a hurry.
When you have to replace the head gasket, get a steel one. If you can't for some reason and have to use a composite gasket, put a couple coats of coppercoat on it without letting any of the coats completely dry then bolt the head back on right away.

Ahhhh! is that all why people hate them?? That's not trouble! I havent had any oil burning yet or anything and when I chaged my spark plugs i didnt spot a leak yet... maybe in the not so distant furutre then? Thanks for the helpful tip.
