So, any of you wish to share your opinions on what's gonna happen in season 8?
Since it's going to be set in NY, this should be interesting. This is one of the highest targets in the US, and to see disaster in there is devastating... especially after 9/11. Jack will be back, of course, but I have a feeling he's gonna lose Kim. She's going to have the procedure, but something will go wrong and she'll die. BUt that's just my speculation. Terrorism - Perhaps Russian? With the rising troubles between US and Russia are tense, so I wouldn't be surprised if they use Russian terrorists. But believe me, I'll be surprised as to whom the enemy will be.
What do you think??

gosh its hard to say.
i don't think kim would die due to the procedure. if that trailer at comic con meant anything, it would stipulate that Jack had successful surgery, and that kim could be either in NY or back in LA with little Teri and her partner.
if the storyline involves political assassination, you would think the UN would be targeted somehow because of it being NY, but who knows.
the plot for this one is unpredictable due to the change in scenery. its hard to imagine who will be behind the attacks. it could be anyone. I just hope that when the villians are revealed, I won't be dissapointed like I was with Season 6 razz

I don't think they'd kill Kim gonk Poor Jack has lost pretty much everyone he's ever cared for, there has to be someone left just so he has the will to fight evil! (Plus Kim would deserve a silent clock and the way it's set up she couldn't have one.) blaugh

ok ok you can't kill Kim off. You guys are right. It would kill him. And poor Jack indeed. I have no idea what's going to happen to him, where he will be, what he will be doing... and I'm scared to find out.

*clueless*
after watching the trailer, my speculations were all off. It's good to see Kim alive and sharing time with Jack and his grandbaby. heh, Jack's a grandpa. I know the return of Logan will be a bit frustrating for many. I hated his character, but also applauded because performed it so well. I wonder how he's going to muck up everything this time.

I don't think tony will play a big role this season. My instincts are usually off, so I'm not positive, but in my opinion, he had the limelight last season, I think the focus will be on freddie prinze jr. It would be nice to see Tony do a flip on his character, end up helping Jack instead of interfering and harming. I am gonna miss bill tho. Why couldn't he hold out until the end? I swear, if they kill off Chloe, I'm gonna be so mad.

I dunno what's going to happen. It looks action-packed though. (But when does it not? XD) Obviously, Kim is in at least some of it. I really hope they don't kill her off, because that would be the end of Jack. It'd just be him and Teri. :'( He'd have Chloe though. She's always there for him. (Side thought: They would make an interesting couple....) I'm looking forward to her hopefully having a big part again. Has anyone heard if this is the last season or not?

After season 7 ended, I heard talk of Keifer Sutherland having signed for at least 2 more seasons....whether that is true or not, I cannot say....I hope it keeps on going tho.

now that would be nice. Keifer knows that ending this show ends his career for the most part. How can he play another role without being 'jack'? Every time I would see him, I would think of Jack. I wonder if he would take work elsewhere... he IS the most paid television actor, tho. He grosses over 150k per show, that's quite a bit of money to retire on, ya know? *shrug* who knows. This show is going to be a twister for us. It better not be like season 6, I'll be disappointed.

For the most part, I kinda liked Season 6...I mean, there were obvious flaws and some things I disliked....but it kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time....and the ending with Jack and the old Sec. Def. guy....that was GREAT!
I do hope this season goes well tho. I would hate for ratings to drop and them not continue

I will always be a die hard season 5 fan. Although this one is getting off to a good start. And the old comfort zone with CTU back up and running. I liked it when CTU was in play.
