The trick seems rather easy to pull off, but the downside is obvious: Lack of AP and treasures earned along the way.
This would certainly make it easier to go through Duel Colosseum being at a higher level and all, but, I personally prefer the old-fashion method. Slower to do, but greater turn out.

True but if you look at it this way. Once you are level 100 you can simply fight other lvl 100 people and get better treasures and what not. Not a word of warning.
I advise anyone to simply get at least one character to level 100 the old fashioned way before you use this trick. Other wise you get nothing out of the game.

Lol or you can just go to starbucks with a friend, and go play for 2 hours battling each other on your 'special day' to get lots of exp/ap/pp/gil. Heck, I got one of my level 1's to at least level 40's fast.
Few rules to keep it simple if your friend does play more.
1. No item rules 2. Rings are okay (if you got okay rings) 3. Equal levels (Obviously)
Those 3 rules help to keep it 'fair' when we play with characters that have different levels.
