She laughed a wicked laugh and said...Just got my Dahlia's pierced today. They're also known as Jokers, but I like Dahlia's better. Tell me what you think! Anyone else ever heard of these? My piercer had never heard of them, let alone done them, and from everything else I've read, they're still kind of rare/unheard of. What other strange or unusual piercings do you all want? Or what would you LIKE to see? "Come here, let me clip your wings"

She laughed a wicked laugh and said...They're still pretty swollen in that picture, they're much better now.
And they're not cheek piercings. They're considered a lip piercing. "Come here, let me clip your wings"

I like them! They are dimple piercings. I'm sure that your term for them is correct, but they look like dimples and usually people who have really noticeable dimples have them pierced. Did you ever see Pixie on L.A. Ink during the first season? Her's were adorable.

She laughed a wicked laugh and said...Dimple and cheek piercings are almost the same thing. Dimples appear on your cheeks, these are too far in to be dimple piercings.
I hate LA Ink. I refuse to watch that garbage. "Come here, let me clip your wings"

Maybe it's because the piercings are still swollen in the picture, but they make your face look a littl weird. I think they would look better if, when they healed, you chaged them out for smaller balls ot small diamonds.
i'd love to see them when they heal fully though lol

She laughed a wicked laugh and said...It's probably the swelling. They took FOREVER to go down, and I still have a little while more.
I have been toying with getting smaller beads or gems, not sure which. I already have a gem in my labret, would getting more gems be too much mouth sparkle?
I might just go with the next size down beads instead. "Come here, let me clip your wings"

"Come here, let me clip your wings" i think that would be a good idea, the big beads just throw off your face a little, but i think if you can find maybe a 3mm ball or something around there, it'll make it look much better. Sparkle is always good lmao but if you get gems or something just make them a little small lol

I would suggest that you go down to a smaller ball. The big ones just make your mouth look crowded.
I'm not sure if I like them or not yet.

She laughed a wicked laugh and said...Had my first issue with Dahlia's a few weeks ago. Apparently I wasn't paying attention while I was watching a movie and ended up sucking the right one all the way into my mouth. eek
I managed to push it back in through the inside of my mouth and stayed up almost the entire night, too afraid to sleep in case I sucked it in again over the night. I soaked it for ten minutes every hour or so, and kept a VERY close eye one it. It didn't bleed or ooze in any way.
The next morning as soon as my piercer opened I went in and told her the story. She almost didn't believe me because the piercing was NOT red, raised, or irritated-looking at all. But she did make me feel better, telling me that it wasn't unheard of. She'd once caught the edge of her Monroe on her teeth while eating once and did the same thing.
I ended up getting red gems instead, seeing as I wanted gems anyway. They're also larger than the beads I had originally, so it was a lot less likely I'd suck these in again.
Ahh, the joys of "experimental" piercings. "Come here, let me clip your wings"

Good luck on the dimple piercings; there are many problems that can arise from these. One major problem is migration. If they migrate into your saliva ducts, you may be left with permanent leaking holes. :: shudder :: One of the only piercings I have an issue with preforming for someone.

And it's cheek piercings you're thinking of that do that whole weeping oozing thing, NOT "dimple" piercings.
Dahlia piercings are different from cheeks AND dimple piercings. If I got dimple piercings I'd have SAID "check out my DIMPLE piercings." I don't have dimples to begin with anyway, besides, if I did, they'd be pierced higher and farther back, where dimples actually APPEAR. "Come here, let me clip your wings"

"Come here, let me clip your wings" First of all, salivary glands are located throughout your entire mouth area, so yes, your piercings are near them. Second of all, I believe dimple and cheek are slightly interchangable here. I have dimples right around the Dahlia spot. Besides, you're not smiling in the picture. There's no way of telling.
I would believe he knows what he's talking about, anyway. He is the professional piercer.
