Chapter I
Surprise of a Lifetime
119 ABY

Aboard the Star Destroyer Reven, Darth Adenn watched as they orbited the planet of Tattoine.
"Are your men ready?" Adenn asked calmly.
"Yes, mi'lord. Awaiting your command." Said Admiral Tao.
He was one of the few Admirals who would stand up to the Sith, he liked that. Admiral Tao was a human male from Coruscant, about forty five standard years of age, roughly six feet tall, with graying sandy brown hair and a neatly trimmed mustache that was also starting to gray. His
eyes were a cold blue. He wore a gray tunic and pants, standard Naval uniform.
Adenn stood in stark contrast to the men around him. He wore a black outer robe, with the hood up, concealing his green eyes and short brown hair. He wore a black tunic and pants and knee length black boots. He also wore two lightsabers on his belt, one on each side.
He paused, considering his words for a moment. He had decided to accompany the men on his mission, instead of simply observing. But he wondered how Admiral Tao would react. Not that it mattered. He answered to the Emperor only, not the Admiralty.
"I'm going with them." He said finally.
"But...." Started Admiral Tao.
He didn't acknowledge the Admiral, but headed towards his ship.
His personal ship, Concord Dawn, was about the size of the Ebon Hawk. But darker in color. It bore more armament as well. It had extra turbolaser batteries fore and aft. The shield had been designed specially, each layer a barrier against a different type of weapon. The first was for turbolasers, the next two for proton torpedoes, and the final against regular blaster fire.
He took a seat in the pilot's seat, flipping on the lights and the navi-computer.He sat there a moment relishing the feel of being back at the helm of his own ship. Then started the engines, listening as they roared to life and settled into a soft hum. Adenn pulled up on the yoke, lifting the ship and pushing it forward sent the ship to open space. He put his comlink on the Reven's frequency and said
"Admiral, launch the assault ships."
After a minute, he heard a reply,
"Yes mi'lord."
The Reven shrank in his rear viewscreen, but the large brown planet of Tattoine started to take up his forward viewport. He entered the atmosphere and landed on the outskirts of Mos Eisley in minutes. He shut down the engines and other systems, setting the anti-theft alarms, before walking towards Mos Eisley.
He arrived after a short flight by speeder bike. Darth Adenn stopped in front of an old cantina. The best place he figured he could get information. He walked inside and took a seat at an old partly gray and rusted table. The spacers paid him no mind, except for one who kept glancing in his direction casually. He could feel the tension and uneasiness in the room through the Force. It felt like a tangled knot of energy.
Darth Adenn watched the man carefully, letting the Force wash over him. He could sense a mix of emotions, ranging from anxiety to fear to pure excitement. But, the particular man watching him betrayed nothing. Either he had learned to hide his emotions in the Force, or he had very little emotion to express.
He stood, slowly and approached the man, whom he noticed wore traveler's robes. He casually sat down beside the man who kept his back turned to him. Finally, he turned around.

"What brings a Sith to this remote part of the galaxy?" He asked.
Well, at least he got directly to the point.
"Who are you?"
"Merely a servant of the Force. And you?"
"My name Darth Adenn,if you must know. And what do they call you?"
He paused a moment thinking, pursing his lips.
"Sirus Almar." He said finally.

That didn't sound like much of a Sith name and he couldn't recall any Jedi by that name either.
Perhaps the man was bluffing, or outright lying to him, the name could be an alias he reasoned. He pulled out his two sabers and ignited them with a snap-hiss pointing the tips of the blades towards the man.

"Now tell me who you are, and who you work for."
A smirk crossed Sirus' face.
"Whats so funny?" Adenn demanded.
"Not like I'm going to tell you, or fight you." Sirus said, still smirking.
"Then I'll just do the galaxy a favor and kill you." Darth Adenn growled.

He raised his lightsabers and prepared to strike, but before he could Sirus raised his hand and used the Force to push him across the room. He landed on a table which crashed beneath him. He hadn't expected that, he was actually starting to like Sirus, even if he was going to kill him. Sirus thought like a Sith, surprise the enemy when they least expect it, or when they expect an easy victory. This wasn't going to be as easy as he'd assumed.
He laughed as he stood up, spinning his sabers to clear the area around him.
"Not bad, ever considered becoming a Sith?" Adenn asked.
"I've been to the Dark Side and came back from it, It's not for me. But neither is the Light."
He threw his hand out sending Sirus flying backwards and into a wall. He landed with a thud and got back up, a smile on his face. He threw his robes off and gabbed the Lightsaber from his belt and ignited it with a snap-hiss, the blue blade humming softly.
"Thought you weren't going to fight me." Darth Adenn mocked.
"Changed my mind.." Sirus said smiling.
He smirked, thrusting his blade at Sirus only to have it batted away, and a rush of blue light come towards his chest. He blocked with his left handed saber and made a feint towards the back only to swing towards his legs with the right. Sirus reacted well for only having one lightsaber, spinning to block the feint and avoiding the slash, he made a slash of his own at Adenn's legs. He blocked with both sabers using the Force to push Sirus backwards, causing him to stumble but remain standing.
There was a short pause, then Darth Adenn came at the Jedi, his sabers spinning in a butterfly pattern. Sirus attempted to block but couldn't manage. There was a gasp and then a wheeze as one of the red lightsabers had found it's mark. A hole had been burned in the man's chest, he looked shocked as he fell over, hitting the floor with a sickening thud.
He deactivated his Lightsabers and noticed the room had gone deathly quiet.
"Go back to your drinks." He said adding the weight of the Force to his voice.
The patrons did as they were told.
He clipped his Lightsabers onto his belt and walked outside. The Jedi would know he was coming, or perhaps this had been part of an elaborate trap. He cursed under his breath, apparently his intelligence had been wrong. Well, that would be the last time he would have the chance to be wrong.
Now they knew he was coming, now they could prepare, but so could he......
