Main Discussion Thread
As the title would imply, this is the main thread of the guild in which discussion is to take place. At present, every member must post here at least once a week to remain active.

I agree with the idea that most of the threads should be removed that we may start anew.
I suppose I should have put this in the other thread, but all members who have been in the guild before will receive one free promotion, and Alucard with two, being that he's been in the guild since... it was made.
Also, now I need to make a new signature. ninja
So, go now about your daily business, posting and whatnot.

Good evening, my fellow Templars. Glad to see that we are making some progress; it seems we will be up and running very soon. I'm very excited about the resurrection of the Latrocinium. May we have much success in the future. I am confident that our future is a bright one.

York Rufflebutt Johnson the III, I would like to give you the National Cheesy Post Award, or NCPA for your devotion in making the first unbelievably corny post in this thread.

Victory! I shall accept this award. And now that you've given me the urge to do so, I think I'll eat some corn.

The line "I am confident that our future is a bright one." made me do it.

Oh yeah, I was going to ask that here.
If you'll take a look at the third post of the Formations thread, you'll see how a Platoon is organized. My plan was to have NPCs fill up slots until we fill them up ourselves. Here's the real question though; should we expand to have multiple Platoons, ect. and have the large majority be NPCs, or just try and fill up the entire platoon before making a new one?

Seeing as the Latrocinium is an exclusive, skilled private military corporation, I see no reason to have more than eighty or ninety soldiers in the organization. NPCs is a good idea; if we were a PMC of only seven or eight men, we probably would not be all that successful, and probably would not find much work. However, I say we have one platoon for now, with NPCs filling all open spots. When most of the spots in that platoon are taken up by real people, we will begin a new platoon.

I say we have one platoon with us in it and as we expand we ope up new platoons.
Unless, we have a platoon full of ourselves , then a platoon of NPC's? If we both go out on a mission, they can be the extra set of manpower and could explain why we cover as much ground as we do.

Well, another reason why I'd like to have NPCs is to soak up casualties. It doesn't make that much sense to have a group of ten people who can consistantly go around and kill dozens without taking a single casualty themselves, wound or death.
Also, rank will now directly affect your position. If you're a Corporal you're a Fireteam leader, and if a Sergeant then you're a Squad leader. So if we only have one Platoon then once one person gets to Staff Sergeant, no one else can be promoted to that rank unless we get a second Platoon.
One platoon has one (Lance Lieutenant), one Staff Sergeant, three Sergeants, six Corporals, nine Lance Corporals, and eighteen Privates. Once those ranks start getting filled up, members can no longer receive promotions. See the problem?
Upon thinking about it, it seems to me that the best way is to fill up positions until someone is deserving of another promotion and this can no longer be accomadated, then branch out to another Platoon, and add in Company command staff as well. Also, this means that there will be a lot of short character profiles for NPCs. If people would like to make up some NPCs, feel free to submit their profiles in the appropriate thread as well, just make sure that I know it's not your PC. I'll edit the thread so that this is now an option.
