Why won't gaia understand that we love <3 gaia so much we do not need all these awful sponsors that do bad things

Well, actually it's they who are in need. All they said is that's it's convenient for gaia user who can't get cash any other way (although I don't think it's worth it personally).
Otherwise it's completely for their own sake, so that they can get money.
