The last time I went to the theater I saw Ponyo which was AMAZING. It was great for the kids and kept me and david entertained the whole way through. I mean we had kids with us from 6yrs old to 18yrs old and they all laughed and enjoyed it till the very end. No one complained at all. Best spent money on entertainment in a whille

I wanted to see Ponyo but I had read that it was coming out of DVD soon so I waited and now I can't find the article that said that. I'm a huge fan of Miyazaki's work.
My son loves the Cars movie so much. We watch that a lot. Spongebob is his favorite TV show.
I'm reading Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon which is really good so far.
Currently my favorite movie is Pride and Prejudice, the Keira Knightley one. I haven't seen the Colin Firth one but I want to.
I loved the Twilight books but HATED the movie. Here's hoping New Moon is better!

Cars was cute but I've seen it way to many times just like finding Nemo lol
and as for twilight...lets not go there. Lets just say I'd much rather watch Interveiw with a Vampire

I was really into Spongebob when I was pregnant but now I HATE it too.
Have you seen My Neighbor Totoro? It's my favorite of Miyazaki's movies. I'm getting a tattoo of the cat bus on my ankle when I can find a good time to get away.
I'm trying out Toy Story on him today to see what he thinks of it.
Are you a fan of vampire books and movies?
I can't get enough.

He liked Toy Story so much we watched both of them!
Have you read Sunshine by Robin McKinley? It's a good vampire book kind of in the Anne Rice vein.
I wish she would get back to writing vampire books!

I know! It's seems so self-righteous of her to do that.
If I could make a good living writing books that people loved I wouldn't ever stop.
We watched Finding Nemo a couple of days ago and Alex has picked up the chant from the naming ceremony in the tank. Something like ah-hi-wa-ho-ho-ho-ho, he doesn't get it quite right yet, it's more of a ah-hi-ah-ah-hi-ho but it sure is adorable.

I don't but I'm super interested too.
We got Alex the Max pajamas at Sears. If they weren't so white, they would be his Halloween costume and mommy and daddy could go as monsters!

My hubby Matt and I watched Battle for Terra last night and I'm so glad that we did before Alex got to see it.
It has terribly adult subject matter. Like some anime, even though it's animation doesn't mean it's suitable for kids. Genocide, war, and when it's a good thing to kill someone and commit suicide in the process are some of the things that are themes of the movie. Also a society whose leaders are hiding their warring past from it's citizens and being forced to choose to kill your brother or your new friend.
It may be cause I know watch all movies with a mother's eye but I found this one to be horrible for kids. It's PG. All I could think about was how to answer the questions Alex would have about what he saw. Clearly the MPAA was more interested in the fact that there is no blood in it at all.
